Tioman Island lies off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, in the South China Sea. It's a nature reserve, ringed by beaches. The area is known for its dive sites, which have corals, sea fans and sea sponges, as well as shipwrecks. The island is covered in tropical rainforests, home to butterflies, lizards and monkeys. On the east coast, the Juara Turtle Project is a hatchery that protects and studies sea turtles.
The good thing about being a tropical island is that you can go to Tioman anytime because the climate is sunny all year round. If you're looking for perfect weather, it's best to head to Tioman between late February and October. The monsoon season starts in the second half of November and ends in February. The island is open to tourists even during the monsoon season, but it is not recommended to visit during this period as the sea can get rough and when storms hit the coast and sea, the ferries will not be able to operate the route. So it is recommended to avoid the monsoon season~
