Loved this!!! I needed to hear this when I began this wig life 4 years ago March!! Hubby gave me our tax return so I could buy my first wig. Ask him the name?? Scarlet by John Renau. I was overwhelmed by the hair and Permatease but wore her Easter Sunday, feeling so pretty! That was the beginning, then came Noriko Jackson and loved it but too much hair! 3rd purchase was JR Kristen and that was the perfect choice:cute bob, lace front, ok with permatease and the color selection was gorgeous. She is still a fav today with her group of 5 Kristen’s in different colors. It has been fun to try the pink and purple fun colors too! She wears like iron!! But my first wig love is my Girl Mono in Hot Hazelnut Mix by Ellen Wille! Wow! Dream curls, no permatease and lasts now 4 years later ( with maintenance care). I have made plenty of mistakes, wasted $$$, learned a new life and thank God that my thin hair days are gone❤️BlesSINGS all🙏

Wow thank you! I appreciate you giving such a detailed account! I wish I had seen this before getting my first one. My husband took me toa wig store . I tried on several but bought Ignite by Jon Renue. It has too much permatease for me for being my first wig. I cant afford another right now. I was feeling a little frustrated by the ladies at the wig store, they didn’t offer much guidance or education at all. It almost felt like they were annoyed by my questions. I feel sick and nervous also became I feel like Ignite is too puffy on me.

@@melissaferguson6901 After many years of thin, flat hair I think ANY wig would have been a huge adjustment! Remember that you can rub your hands together to warm them, then put your hands on the hair to “flatten the permatease” taz’s wig closet is a great channel to learn tips to make your wig behave! Ignite is loved by many so dont give up. You will adjust to seeing yourself with normal hair!!! Dont give up!

Even if my hair comes back, I will always have wigs! Your tips have been so helpful and I love your approach to so many things such as what happens to our brain when we are seeing ourselves with actual hair for the 1st time in years. I guess I'm lucky in that my preferred style is a low density pixie and with a fringe (bangs) so I can get away with budget friendly basic caps and don't even need a lace front. I can then spend my money on collecting wigs in a variety of colours because I find it fun to mix and match my shades with whatever outfit I'm wearing! I do have one long 'party' wig but it doesn't come out that often. I find it too much work lol.

Thank you. I'm about 3 weeks into my wig journey full-time wearer. I got some cheap ones from Amazon. I think the ones with bangs are easiest to look good. Now, I'm looking into getting a better quality wig. It's overwhelming... I'm so glad these videos are available. I bought my 1st wig from a fancy store 10 yrs ago. It was not a great wig and I didn't know how to care for it and I felt like people knew it was a wig. Then about 5 yrs ago, I bought a human hair wig for cheap off Amazon, but the hair kept flying in my face, and it was way to thick, and had no idea how to secure it. Now I know more about wigs and can wear it. The thickness still bothers me in the mirror, by I love how it looks in pics. Anyway, I wish my 1st experiences would have been better, so I would have started wearing wigs sooner. 3 weeks in and I feel so much better looking at myself without thin hair. I'm also getting more notice from gentleman on dating sites, so hopefully this will lead to a wonderful opportunity to fall in love and get married.

Thank you for all your videos... I am just new to this realm... I love this wig you are wearing in this video. I will be searching your videos to see if you have any on finding wigs for a small head size. Mine is less than 21 inches and I am finding it very difficult to find tiny size wigs. There are no wig shops near where I live, so I have never even tried any on at a shop. I ordered two yesterday and spent $1750.00 so that was very scary for me when I live on a very small Senior's income. I did buy two cheap wigs from Amazon, just to see what they are like, but they were huge and impossible for me to even think of wearing, as well they were not the color at all that I thought they would be.

Three words: Paula Young Clearance. Learn to customize, and accessorize, if I can do it anyone can. Another approach is to save for a single premium human hair wig and live in that one wig for a couple of years or more. That can also work. Don’t listen to detractors and critics, be confident, secure and have a positive mindset. Don’t be seduced into buying the latest synthetic wig at anything more than PY clearance prices unless you have money to burn.

Gosh, that is a great question! I think if they are kept in a controlled climate they should really last indefinitely. I can't imagine that today's wig would do any worse than that.

Well, it is human hair so as HH goes that isn't too bad of a price. I know that ALL prices are starting to go through the roof. The only reason I was able to get this one was because it was on an open box clearance and I just happen to hit a 50% off clearance sale on the site I purchased it (namebrandwigs).... I paid $431.39 for it including tax when I bought it in May 2020 (the retail price at the time was just over $800)..... bet I never see that price again!!!
