Thank you doctor❤ I would like to know whether I have this correct: after determining the tooth's fundamental shade using the Vita Shade Guide, you use composite bottoms in the same shade to establish which one is accurate to use?

Yes, I use composite to verify that the shade I am choosing is correct. The reason for this is that dental composite manufacturers try their best to match the VITA shade tab, but they are all over the place and that is why, for example A2 shade will have slight differences from manufacturer to manufacturer.
