Wow, again my husband showed me some paint pens but they are water color and I didn't want that. I got a few simple colors to sign my pieces but really didn't know there was such a variety to choose from and that you could refill them. This is so helpful, those who airbrush already have the high flow paints. THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for this wonderful tip....and for many others! You have helped me save many of my 'not so great paintings/pours' and the embellishing that you have shown us are sometimes for me at least, has been far more intriguing and fun, and a great learning tool so thank you! You are the artist that got me into fluid art! When I saw you 'injecting' your pours? It was a moment of 'AH HA! ' and OMG....what a genius! So creative! I didn't have any desire up to then to do fluid arts! You are defn an inspiration for me and prolly for many others! TY TY TY! You have prompted me to reach deep into my creativity to 'see' what others may not and to what I may not have seen! Your music btw is awesome.....ty for that as well as it is so refreshing to watch a painting happen in front of my eyes and to hear the sounds that add to it rather then detract! Such beautiful music! Again ty ty ty!!

Do the markers run, or pick up colors from near-by paints? Once the tip goes into another wet paint, can the tip be wiped to again dispense the original color? Am thinking black or other dark colors would be a problem with a light color in the pen. Suppose allowing to dry between colors might prevent this? Have never used them and would have reservations investing in a set if they could be ruined if mixed on the canvas. Beautiful effects tho and would love to try them! Gorgeous work Elyse-your imagination is off the charts!
@ElyseFournier4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! They work exactly like acrylic paint. They can mix with colors around them if they're still wet, and yes you can wipe the tip to get back the original color. I always use them on dry paint for fine details and wait until the paint is dry before adding other colors. Once dry they never bleed into other colors. Exactly like acrylic paint. The colors are usually opaque. I like posca paint pens the most as the tips always stay nice. That way I can fill them with high flow acrylics once they're empty and I know they'll work well for a long time!

Thank you so much for this! Do you add straight acrylic paint or do you mix with pouring medium first?

Hi Elyse, I wish so much that I could paint like you. While I have tried to pull images from my canvas, yours are so amazing. I wish I had the ability to talk with you to get your take on my work and how could I expand. I see that you do it in layers. How do you know what colors to lay down? Do you use them instinctively. I mean, is it something that just comes to you or is there a set plan that this is what you will use and it looks like you’re making your colors gradient, and a point perspective, like Gestalt? I am a huge fan of yours. Keep up the great work. I think I will invest in some fine point posca markers. Is that a good strength the 1mm? Thank you for posting your wonderful art adventures. Laurie

When you refill them with your own color are you just kind of “winging it” not sure on what the final color be? Thank you so much for this, I didn’t know they could be refilled! I would have thrown them out so this is great to know. Do you just use golden high flow for this?

Where did you learn to paint like that? You must have gone to Art School. Is there a secret to your imagination
@ElyseFournier4 жыл бұрын
Actually I'm a self taught artist. I never had any art courses. I started acrylic painting on canvas a little over a year and a half ago. I don't know where my imagination comes from, but I feel like it's endless. I always have the need to create something with my hands... If I spend more than three days without creating I feel stressed lol.
