Great video Michele! Especially agree re. a light base. The older I get, the more I’m aware of how noticeably makeup sits on the skin, especially in summer daylight. More makeup is definitely a look but at 53 now, less looks fresher and brighter on me!

love your look! my trick for "no makeup makeup" in spring summer especially, is to apply cream or liquid bronzer before any other base product. then i feather concealer or tinted moisturizer around the bronzer where needed. really gives the look of bare, but perfected skin with a bronzy glow like you're just off the beach

Dear Michelle, I really like listening to your reviews also because you teach me a lot of interesting English stuff 😉 I think that if you want a natural base night skincare is the first step. I usually mix luxury and low cost products, I’m 41 years old and I never use heavy makeup. When I wake up I spray French water, if I have time I put on a face mask and then different kind of serums, a moisturising cream, keeping my skin always slightly wet with my French water or rose water with lavender oil that I prepare myself. Then I drink a lot of warm water and I put on sunscreen and a Chanel primer (le blanc or les beiges shimmery one). After that, one coat of Sublimage Le teint, the one in the pot. I love it. Even at the end of the day my skin is beautiful, with a mask on, too. I bit of concealer where I need it, Chanel les beiges bronzer in the crease, a black or brown eye pencil in the inner part of the lashes. If a have time, highlighter, blush, mascara and lip balm with a hint of colour from a lip pencil. Powder on if it is necessary but I have very dry skin. (Sorry for my English)

Hi Michele, I think the idea of no make up make up look is not about using minimum products, but about techniques of application and color, mimicking the natural lines, just enhancing them. Lisa Eldridge has a good video on no make up make up.

Enjoyed this content. Lately I've been skipping my usual eyeshadow and using my cream bronzer as an eyeshadow and a dark brown eye pencil. For me, at this point in my life, the less time I have to spend on my face! However SPF is a must for me.

I sometimes use the powders in the Hourglass palette as “base”, leave the lower lashes bare and also add brightening liner like you and a little inner conner highlight, so I look bright eyed and awake.

My version of that bronze/blush scenario is Tower 28 Bronzino Best Coast. I have medium toned skin and it’s perfect. I use this on the Chanel water tint over sunscreen and even as a bit of shadow

Mac Studio radiance foundation is perfect for a no makeup look. Also the original Hindash palette used all over for color on the face can be very subtle and work well.

Tbh, all of my makeup products are suitable to use on the "no makeup makeup" days. I have been known to add sunscreen to my foundation as a way of "diluting" it. Talking sunscreen, I may be mistaken, but it didn't look like you applied enough of the Chantecaille sunscreen. I understand the recommended amount is 2 - 3 fingers of product in order to achieve the stated sun protection. Obviously, you probably did apply enough and I'm concerned about nothing. Anyhoooooo, you look fresh and ready for the (very, very hot LV) day 🌞🌞🌞😉 Love you, 💗💚💗💚💗

Fabulous face Michelle. I especially enjoyed the logic behind your product choices. I use self tanning drops to help a no make up look (negates the urge to colour your face in) and love the Armani eye tints for one and done. The satin finish you achieved is really elegant, and much more natural than a confusing all over "glowy " application.

I adore the chantecaille liquid highlighter and blushes in the tubes for this kind of look. Single shadow from the Chanel 9 pan les beige from 2019. Im surprised you didn’t say the victoria Beckham primer in golden. Love that one!

Hi Michele! Thank you for your tips. I agree with choosing one area as the focus. I tend to put on a blush thats my “natural” colouring so it looks like I am healthier. Then I skip eyeshadow and just put on one layer of mascara. For lips I will choose a milky or nude gloss.

I always use lots of eye makeup and deep coloured lipstick, for my base I don't use anything other than sunscreen, ABH concealer under my eyes and setting powder. At most I use a tinted moisturiser for a base, but I never liked heavy foundations. I like the Rare beauty and NARS tinted moisturisers so far

Wonderful video, Michele! A definite YES to a One and Done eye shadow video. I do love using lots of color in make-up, but for a no make-up lip look, I love Chanel’s Rouge Coco Flash in Boy or Crush.

Awesome video. I have been using and loving Chantecaille's sunscreen/primer since you recommended it. For my no-makeup makeup look, I use Macrene Actives Concealer, Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzer and a light dusting of Chanel's newish BLUSH COMETE in Peche Cosmique as a finishing powder for nose & cheeks. The finish is perfect. I finish with Wayne Goss mascara (brushed out) and the Hermes Lip Oil or Sisley Phyto Rouge Shine.

MAC Face and Body. Period! It lasts for days even if you're the nervous type and constently picks your face. It took me literally decades before I tried it, because their was always this new foundation launch I had to try before taking the plunge. Oh, I have this great idea I probably shouldn't talk about, because I've had terrific ideas over the years that was snatched from my hands before I begun getting them into fruition. A pair of products. The first something like Bobby Brown enriched face base with a tint. The second matching medium coverage concealer much like your beloved Dior on. As a total concept it just makes sense and I really think we have a hit best selle on our hands! While I'm rambling I have this idea of a skincare trio: Solace: a calming, hydrating spray. Sanctum: an all-in-one serum. Sentinel: an SPF tinted primer. Trust me, I'm a copywriter!

Love your vids! No makeup makeup is my idea of makeup. I do lashes and rosy cheeks. But after watching your vid, I think I can forego the lashes (my lashes are scant also) and go with the one and done eyeshadow instead. I’ve been loving the color adjusting bases (I’m using Almay but don’t know if there are any high end products). It gives me some evening out that’s easy to finish off with a little concealer rather than using a heavy foundation.

I love the Laura Mercier Blush in Fresco. I have a deeper skin tone, so I use Westman Atelier’s shadow in Tabac for a light wash of color on my lids. I am still trying to sort out a good base that is light and has SPF. Do have any recommendations for a lip product that has sunscreen, moisture and color?

This time of year I hate heavy makeup so the no makeup look is perfect. I use Tatcha the silk sunscreen, a little cream bronzer, mascara and a tinted lip balm and I’m good to go.
