Tips for Attending a Performance at Palais Garnier | Paris Opera Ballet Tips, Tickets, and Dress Code | Frolic & Courage.
Are you nervous because this will be your first time going to an opera, ballet, or performance at Palais Garnier? You don’t have to be! I booked my own tickets to an Opera de Paris performance and I’m going to cover things that I wish someone told me. We’re talking transportation, dress code, how to save money on tickets (discounts), and everything else you should know before attending your first Paris opera house ballet, opera, or performance.

I’m debating of getting first row, 1st level on the side balcony. Sec 20 OR the 2nd row 1st loges de face sec 32-36. Heard positive and negatives of both seats. Help!

Yes, these are two separate tickets 🎟🎫 When you attend a performance you are only allowed to view the theater and a few limited spaces at intermission, but if you purchase a Palais ticket you will have access to view it all ❤️ Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment, Erendira!

Hi J! It depends on the popularity of the show and the day of the performance. I would definitely line up early 🙂 Some people say 4pm is a great time for an evening show, others say earlier or later.

If you can snag tickets, go for it! If not…the building by itself is stunning 🤩 and an attraction to see in its own right!

Hi John! You can purchase tickets at the Palais Garnier box office (on the corner of rue Scribe and rue Auber - 75009 Paris) from 10 am to 6.30 pm and 1 hour before performances, but I definitely recommend booking online in advance 😊👍🏾
