You're right about the selection process of career, but I think we have to shortlist our career while we would apply for CSS exam and in these days we have no much time to read books of the people of that career and for research. So, we can't do this. If there is alternative, then please tell us.

ws,the area that you like most ll help you the most in career development. however, as far as Pakistani job market is concerned, it is already flooded with PhDs, so pick what you like then excel in it. I've studied literature, and found it more close to my temperament.
