I bought a 2nd hand 2017 tonykart 401 for £1500 Its not scraped underneath and has skid protectors fitted, a prd fireball 125cc which needs running in, its virtually immaculate with only slight scrapes on sidepod bars and scraped front bumper. I replaced the front bumper, fitted custom decals, front brakes, plastic type rear bumper, crg carbon seat with black pu leather with green stitching and fully padded with memory foam. Alfano fitted, 2 usb, 12v output and 12v voltmeter to recharge phone and gopro's. phone has gps speedo, bluetooth helmet, music, communications and a wifi hotspot ect. It even maps tracks and can do lap timing. And a crg steering wheel and crg pedals fitted. Mods have cost £1200+. Basically, i pimped it out, and total is less than half the cost of a brand new kart. If new, the kart is £6500, mods should be another £2000+ ontop. I got lucky finding that kart, then went nuts.

Great vid, I got lucky (I thought) and purchased a 2014 Kosmic Mercury Jr. Rotax which retailed for $9500 and I got it for $2500... My best advice is get your Kart away from the seller and find a Kart Technician (like yours at Dallas Karting Complex) mine at my local track diagnosed an EVO upgraded coil spliced to a Vortex/ ROX battery (caused a misfire at 11,500rpm). We decided to for go the extra 2,000 rpm's and throw an OEM Rotax wiring harness and the standard Rotax battery. Since I'm new to Karting and old we went for reliability with a smooth power band. OK so, I'm a little heavy for a Jr. Max but its way more fun than a Lo206 pull start.

Newbie to channel on an old vid.. How would you choose the right seat to fit your body without modding or ruining a chassis I'm 6ft 2 and 280+ I love going to DKC. I live just up the road in Paris. The adult rental karts are really tight and cramped, with the pedals all the way out and the seat all the way back. The seat bucket itself is so narrow for me. It literally makes my hips sore for a few days. Are there custom seats for larger drivers??

Do I need a certain chassis to run a lo206 on, I want to get into karting but don't have a lot of money. I wanted to buy a roller. I saw a Tony kart roller and was wondering if I can throw a lo206 in it. What would you recommend
@droddy19728 күн бұрын
Virtually all chassis are the same size and construction. Therefore, one can mount pretty much any motor on them. Tony Kart (OTK) is a great kart with lots of local support, which is the number one thing to consider when buying!

I'm looking to purchase a shifter kart but the engine is bad. Hence I was looking at Honda motors and saw one in particular(Light commercial/residential GS/GSV 190) but it has 187cc displacement. Is that to much? I'm asking that because it looks small enough to fit right in. Anyways please give me a Honda motor that would suffice and not be to extreme. Also is it a plug and play as far as installation of the motor? Which type of shaft would be needed? The Honda one has a vertical and horizontal shaft which do you use? Thank you!
