Clear and very helpful for anyone new not knowing what to buy. I bought the double wax based on a (comparison i think) video of yours years ago when i first started and still have it now. it was a great recommendation (as per a lot of things i've bought form your channel and thoughts. Like you say, in this case, thin is def best; which i found out hand applying it on a dry sponge. Tip is from using it a lot, get the sponge applicator wet, ring it out so it's barely damp. Makes it much easier to get a small amount onto the applicator with a simple press an twist. It helps then spread the layer in a more consistent way once you get it on the panel making the buff easier.

I'm considering moving to all BH products. I like your method of using the Cleanser Polish and applying the Hydra-Wax really quickly using the polisher. In my mind I was thinking it would be too time consuming using a wax by hand, but this method you just did would work well and be a time saver. Top with AutoQD? I think BH is looking at other LSP's last time I emailed them.

An idea for the Bilt Hamber website : have a program, where one can choose the different issues you want to tackle or that your car has to face (mud, salt, sand, a car stored outside or inside, age of the car/paintwork etc etc) and then it would give a result of the list of products to use and in the correct order. That would be very helpfull indeed.

Very good summary there. When i started out, this whole range was confusing, and it wasn't clear what to use and when to use it. I did stay away from BH polishes / waxs, with the exception of the exceptional BH double speed wax, looks good, very compatible if your using BH autofoam / touchless, auto wash and bh qd. The beading is great, as well as the longevity of the wax, for the price of it.

Does anyone know please whether you are supposed to wax over the top of the Touch-On coat? It seems very shiny and hydrophobic by itself but obviously doesn't last as long as a wax. Also, BH recommend using it monthly, would it still do the same job if there was already wax on the car?

Hi could you please convince Bilt Hamber to make some soft top cleaning and protective products. I have a (new to me) 2016 Beetle (Bibi) cabrio that I want to give the attention it needs. Pretty please. I love Bilt Hamber, but I am still confused to what products I should have, to wash Bibi every two weeks in Belgian weather (weather comparative to England) Do I stick with the following routine or am I getting things in the wrong order or missing a step ? 1. Pre wash with Touch less to get rid of the largest grime 2. Put on Auto-wheel on the weels every two weeks and once a month on the paintwork to get rid of the iron fall out 3 Wash the car with Auto-wash which has anti corrosive properties. 4. Use Atom-mac on the brakes to prevent rusting 5. Use Trace-less for the windows. Once a year 6. Use the Cleanser polish to fill in the marring Every three months 7. Use Double-speed wax to wax the paintwork. Or am I better off with Auto-balm, as it also has anti corrosion properties as the car isn't new new ? But when do I use then Touch-on ? After or before the wax or instead of the Auto-wash ? I also would like to have a yearly regime on how to care for the undercarriage and cavities to treat and prevent rust. I can't be alone in wanting to know more about that ? Love your channel ! Keep up the good work.

A good indication a brand has potential is one of the bigger online detailing distributors will take it on. I look at ADBL and their prices can be beaten by estblished offerings. theres also nothing really innovative in the line up. Its not glaedmorous enough to get the attention of the driveway enthusiast. And its not cheap enough or established enough distribution to reach the pro valters using autosmart or other estblished lines. Ill drill in and give you an example. They sell a clay cloth for 18 quid. You can go into halford and by the farecla clay mit for 15 quid. Whos going to go out of their way to try the ADBL when its more expensive. How can ADBL make they clay cloth go viral and start selling them??? Ask this question for each product in their line up. Their DA15 polisher 229 quid. Chinese made. You can buy these for 130-150. their range looks very competant though. But UK is a tough tough tough market.

A seasoned pro can most definitely clay a car without marring the paint. Wont get away with it every time for sure, but it can be achieved by an expert hand. If the car is heavily contaminated, the chances reduce dramatically of course! Its a judgement call every time, once claying is complete. I see a LOT more damage caused by bad machine polishing than claying! You are right to point out don't waste clear coat! Great channel that even us pro's watch for the excellent product reviews. I've been detailing show cars and HGV's for over 30 years, including concourse winners at shows like Hampton Court Concourse D' Elegance. I have a large business with quite literally hundreds of repeat customers, they are all happy with our work. You are overthinking it. Everything you touch paint with is an abrasive, including water from a pressure washer. (Direct quote from Yvan Lacroix- world renowned detailer). The worst damage I see on paint is inflicted by inexperienced people with machine polishers, who mask the damage with silicone detailing sprays which quickly wash off. Correcting that damage is a large part of my business. You do it your way we will do it ours.

I hold my hands up!! The QD thing was me. Basically I mixed it up with DI water at at around 1:9 but I was applying it in the sunshine. Panel wasn't hot but maybe slightly warm. I used it again in the shade and a very cold panel and it worked without smearing, it wiped off fine, I think the UV rays and a warm panel was just smearing it all around the place. I was thinking it was the ratio and maybe it was over 18 months old (it couldn't possibly be me 😂). It think I've resolved the issue. Remember to read the bottle as Jon always always says. Tbf I never use products when it's a hot panel, I just thought it was a nice sunny day and do a bit of detailing. I think it's a little bit sensitive to the sun and temperatures 🌡
