Just came across this video as I was researching. I'll watch your other offerings soon. We'll done! I feel like I learned a a lot. I should be able to apply many of the lessons to my own flock even though I live in a different climate, East Texas thank you again for the video!

So true, so many people get confused between ventilation and draft!

Greetings from our homestead in NH. Good info. We actually had to stop allowing our chickens and ducks from free ranging all over our farm because of predators. We were just losing too many. We still give them a large moveable fenced in area with some Premier1 fencing and that seems to be doing a pretty good job. We’ve also been experiencing a lot with water issues in our cold climate as well. We actually just purchased a heated water hose that has been a life and time saver for us. We love it! Hope you guys have a Happy New Year!

We have contemplated getting Premier1 fencing for new/young chicks and any other animals we may add. So far our predators aren't too bad. We have Bald Eagles, a golden eagle and red tail hawks around - but the chickens seek cover VERY quickly.

@@Lifefromtheclay Glad to hear they are smart enough to take cover. Many of our chickens are a little snow. LOL BTW- if you happen to be looking for Premier1 fencing for younger chickens, take a look at the shock or not fencing. The gaps in the fence are much smaller. We first made the mistake of using the regular size chicken fencing and the chicks went right through it.

If you give them a bit more protein when they get older they will still lay bunches. But if it’s only money your are after that is another story
