Tips For Going To Craft Fairs and Market Events as a Crocheter | Set Up, Getting Started, and more!

Hi Katie 👋. Lots of great tips 😀. I've been doing markets and craft fairs for over 30 years now and I agree with all the tips you mentioned. A friend and I always did fairs together, so there was someone to man the table for restroom breaks. A number of times the fairs were juried and we had to send photos of the items we wound be selling. We took photos of our set up to show that, and it also gave us an idea of changes to make. I don't remember if you mentioned it, but don't forget holidays. One of my biggest selling items was button top towels. Some of the designs I liked the least were the best selling ones. I kept a list of designs and how many of each I had which made it easy to tell if I had more of a design available. I also used zipper bags to keep ones of the same design together (made it easier when things got really busy). Unfortunately, I recently became disabled and can no longer do fairs.
