I'm 65. Long white hair. Halfway down my back. Never shorter than shoulder length. Always wear a ponytail. Always clean your hair. No yellowing at all, which can happen to white and blonde hair. I don't give #$ what anyone says about my long hair. It's been this long for 30 years. I worked in Healthcare. Always professional. Don't play to the stereotype hippie thing. I get that a lot and it pisses me off every time. Make your own path. Do your own thing.

I work in a grocery store, and they don't really care what I do with my hair. I either have it tied in a tail, sometimes I braid the tail, or because I work in a frozen department half the time, I'll do a high fold-over and just tuck it underneath a beanie. I only ever have my hair down at work if I'm going to push carts in the spring or summer (I always have a baseball style hat on for that). It sucks in the summer because it makes it feel hotter out, but my hair being down protects my neck from the sun. And I'll get it wet just to stay cool and then it looks horrible, but I don't care at that point because I'm doing whatever I can to stay cool. Been at the same store for 10 years. Never had a manager tell me to cut it.

When I worked at a restaurant, I had long hair. The only thing they wanted me to do with it as I was a Server was to tie it back with multiple hair ties running down the length of my ponytail. I did so and it looked good. The reason they needed it tied back is that a person sheds about 100 hairs from their head every day and one does not want hair in their food. I have long hair now after cutting it and donating it to Children with Hair Loss a few years ago in honour of my father, who died of cancer (and the treatments). First time I donated, it was 16.5 inches long. Last time, it was 10.5 inches long. I am letting it grow out yet again.

Face piercing, tattoos, are, kosher at my job. So my 30 inch locks are not an issue, in fact the ladies envy my hair, and I work for a Christian organization. My how times have changed & for the better!

My hair is about 2 thirds the way down my back. I work in a hospital, though, so I've gotta tie it in a highball. Actually the first time I discovered this channel, was that highball tutorial. Since then, I've mastered the sidekick side braid as well, and I'd love to do a back braid, but I'm a weak bastard so I can't hold my hands up long enough to tie the braid behind my head.

Lot's of good tips and advise here. Have you guys thought about doing a video about balding guys or guys with various degrees of hair loss growing long hair or any tips for guys that are thinning/balding but want to grow out what they still have while they have it? I'm a classic example of such group being Norwood 5v which is pretty severe, but still had a lot of hair on the sides and back to grow out, mostly it was the crown and top that was mostly bald. I've been on a hair loss treatment routine for 6 months with some results, and have a long thick beard that helps detract attention from the top to the sides and bottom especially as my hair grows past shoulder length. Just figured a topic on that would be popular especially middle age and older guys test the waters so to speak and embrace their looks. Not a lot of videos or advise for those in that category other then just 'shave it off', buzz it, or other counter productive arguments.

Nowadays, employers won't tell you to cut your hair, they would only tell you to cut it if its unkempt or if you just grow it out and don't take care of it. long hair on guys is now very common.

now, in Europe, longhair is usually accepted at work as you wear a "bisexual bob" or tied in a low bun the main problem is when you decide growing out to maintain a neat cut before you can tie my tip is to grow a curtain cut ( it take time, but you will earn it in akward stage time), then grow out but trimming the back at around 2 inches lower than the sides, then as your side is at chin length, getting bobbed; a good example is this vid of 7 months growing: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4KUfIWviJ53g7s; within 10 months more, he should have a " boyfriend bob" during the growth, you can also make a half bun just above the ear summit line; it is absolutely neat
