For whatever strange reason…what you are saying in your videos resonates with me. You are offering advice that nobody else offers on the KZbins

Good stuff. I have also heard: “make and shake” when working on chord shapes. Thanks for the tips!

I need help making a decision on a bridge Standard snuffy smith banjo bridge or snuffy smith pegged or compensated what the best I know what they all mean what does most people use Have 1976 ibanez artist 5 string Bluegreen

really its a matter in what sound you are going for. and how in tune your hearing is. a compensated bridge is great if you can hear the difference it makes.. to be honest i cannot, so i have no need for that bridge. I use a 5/8 snuffy bridge from katz eyes. the pegged bridge just resonates more for a crisper sound. but there again i cant see a huge difference. just a standard ol snuffy bridge works great for me .

I remember when I was learning I would just go back and forth with my different kinds of rolls. I'm not sure there's an instrument that ingrains muscle memory as well as the banjo does, over time it all just happened for me :)
