Thank you for this! I’m going back to school in a week while I’ve developed some nasty symptoms which are making me more anxious than ever, I will sometimes even have to use mobility aids which terrifies me (teens my age can be quite nasty) 💜🙌

Great Video! Anxiety & panic are constant companions that you need strategies for to deal with. Your tips are hopefully helpful to a lot of people. My sister hast dealt with severe anxiety and panic attacks for over 20 years now. At her worst she had trouble getting from the living room to the bathroom, taking out the trash or getting the mail were impossible obstacles for her. But she never gave up and kept working on her issues and seeked out help wherever possible and a couple of weeks ago she managed to do a overnight trip to the ocean which she loves. I'll send her this video, I told her numerous times that some form of meditation or mindfulness would be very beneficial for her, maybe this will do the trick ;) Stay sane and safe out there everybody! PS: That Top is super cute!

I always do my best to be as organized as possible. If anything is as much as even slightly moved 'wrong' from where I have/had it then it becomes a waste of my time which I does not make me the least bit happy.

Do you by any chance use smartphone/screens with OLED display? I dont have the condition that you do but OLED screens give massive eye strains and seizures whenever I use them. Even does to my mom. These screens have pwm flicker tech to control brightness. Our eyes are too sensitive to it, but a lot of people on the internet have also reported this problem. I have been using traditional LCD screens for all my devices and it doesn't hurt anymore.

I know it’s hard to understand if you don’t have social anxiety, but it’s an absolutely horrible feeling. I have a question (as someone with absolutely zero knowledge on Tourette’s, but a decent amount on most other neurodivergent conditions) for you to ponder on for a while (like at least an hour) before replying. Sorry I don't know the correct terminology but might it be possible that Tourette’s could actually just be physical and/or verbal stimming? Would you say that tics (?) are triggered when you need to regulate, focus, anxious or are over excited just like when stimming appears (for instance I noticed at the end of this video you were swapping between a ton of other stims and had no tics? happened)? I would consider my own stims involuntary, though now I deliberately try to stim if I notice I'm in sensory overload as it helps me to escape the overwhelm or to focus. It seems like perhaps tics (?) are like a sudden stim that catches you off guard or one that's repressed because it's perhaps deemed unwanted. Sorry I mean no offence. I'm just trying to broaden my understanding of neurodivergence and have a lot of theories that tend to be accurate so I want to check if that is the case or not. You are an amazing person and content creator so keep it up! 🥰
@chloerichardson800810 ай бұрын
As far as I know, stimming is an urge and tics are completely involuntary. Tourettes is a neurological condition caused by the brain misfiring signals, whereas stims are (to the best of my knowledge) not. Different people have different feelings about this, but medically stimming and tics are different. Hope this helps
@glenrose748210 ай бұрын
@@chloerichardson8008 thank you so much for sharing. It is all so fascinating and I've figured out so much since posing that question. I personally think all the different types of neurodivergent presentations are largely defined medically on how the body responds to perceived 'threats' by what resources the brain or more specifically the amygdala has and does not have access to (eg swearing, lack of language access), and what type of threat response it goes with (eg fight, flight, freeze, fawn etc). I also find the more your logical part of your brain tries to resist the amygdala, unfortunately the worse the amygdala lashes out (eg if I try to prevent myself an imminent yell/scream, I'll instead lash out aggressively physically).

Hi hopefully you answer this because I would love to hear back I suffer from epilepsy any movement disorder called cortical my clonus I am on medication’s for seizures, but I’m looking to possibly have an implant. It’s a very big question right now and thing in my life lots of complications and a very long story but to keep things short are you on any medication‘s? How long have you been dealing with your seizures and what kind of seizures are they , I really wish I had your number or some other way to talk to you because I have so many things I would love to ask and just talk about because I’ve been battling this battle for 10 years now January 4, 2013 was when everything happened and that’s when by everything I mean, a lot of things changed so I won’t go into that because it’s a very long story hotel hear back from you and talk some more because you seem like you are a very kind person and want to share what’s out there and get the world more knowledgeable about seizures and more! Thank you too for all you’ve done. God bless you.
