So cool to see the advancement of tattoo artists. I recently got an insanely detailed tattoo of Guts in his wolf armor from the Berserk manga and it was mind boggling how far techniques had come since my last tattoo almost a decade ago. People never cease to amaze me with their creativity. Some artists even use the "bad" techniques to accomplish certain looks on tattoos that are meant to appear like comic strips or other art mediums. From gathering pigments made of berries and ash to poke into the skin with bones and sticks, to modern equipment with specialty inks and high tech stencil machines. Cant even imagine what the tattoos of the future will look like.

As long as you're following the stencil it won't turn out wonky. The stencil lines might look weird while you're stretching but once you let go it's all back to normal and your lines are nice and solid! Always always stretch the skin, it'll save you from having to go over areas again.

How do you know you’re doing good below the pooled up ink until after you’ve wiped? Doesn’t that mean if you made a mistake you’d have to go back, and would that cause any issues? It’s hard to articulate into words the way my mind can’t comprehend something so seemingly simple.

I understand what you're asking, I think you articulated your question really well and that it's a good question as well. If I had to guess it would depend on the level of damage already done to the skin, if it's too irritated then you'd just have to let it heal and get it redone but if it's not bad they could probably go over it again to fix the issue. It all depends on the artist ig.

I've had 8 done so far, it all depends on where you want to get them. If you Google tattoo pain areas you'll see roughly where it'll hurt more than others. Usually anywhere close to the bone can be quite sensitive eg, hands and feet. Though I'll say if you get your inner wrist tattooed it can be a little painful, numbing cream is always an option if you're feeling a bit overwhelmed. Just make sure you've put it on before they start! 😁
