One thing I suggest to people that are considering starting up with HEMA. If you're lucky enough to be in a place with multiple options, try them all out. Most HEMA clubs have a less expensive introductory period or lesson set for new people/members. Once you've tried them all out, then decide on which one felt the best slash best suited your interests and needs.
