I find that the robots' interpretation of doubles is quite random. They will often confuse an obvious takeout double with a penalty double or vice versa. Thanks, Pete, excellent information and analysis.

I agree doubles are dubious

I have been trying to set up a table and have been able to do this, but then been unable to get them to the table even when they’re logged on. When their profile pops up, it asks them if they want to join, but there is NO button to click to say ‘yes’

I cannot find on the site how much it costs to play with a robot per game. Please explain or share link from the BBO website. thank you

It depends. There are free games. There are paid games. You can also rent a robot for a day (advanced robot) or a week (basic robot) and that robot will be available to play at your table.

Hi Pete, I have a father who plays cards. He plays 28 and 56. He doesn't know to play bridge. He is 75 yrs old. He wants some good comprehensive book that he can read to learn bridge. Willing to pay for it. Please suggest.

I didn't actually learn for a book so I am not the best to suggest. Here is a forum where some people had some recommendations: bridgewinners.com/article/view/the-best-bridge-book-for-beginners/

BBO is doing a good job but fails in robot doubles. I cant tell you how many deals that resulting in poor scores because of robot doubles. I wish you could shut them up.
