Sir Wade, I apologize again for bothering you. I had sent you an email about how I am a high school student wanting to know how to join the animation industry. I'm currently a Junior and will be soon applying for college. I had emailed this email "me@sirwade.com". You told me in your reply comment to shoot you an email and that it was in the video's description. I apologize if this was the wrong email and not the one you wanted me to send to. I hope to hear a response back, and thank you for reaching out to me and keep up the good work.

This is such a useful video, I'm a 18yo aspiring Pixar animator and, while perfectly logical, it feels good hearing those tips from a professional, and more !

So cool! Waking up this morning wondering how could i bring things up in polish on today's animation and THIS came to me! :D the best moment for this video, Thanks a lot 👌 For me, it s that moment when i desynchronize the frames for more overlapping action... i often panic because i don t remember what was the purpose on each frames... and... there is keys everywhere and.... DUH!! X')

So much good advice here and I'm so glad you answered my question in Tim's vid. You've got a new dedicated sub. Loved the bit about robbing a frame here and there to speed up or make an action a little snappier. I do this a lot as well. And I HATE half frames. Lol

Hi sir, I am from India and i am about to finish up with schools. I want to study at school of visual arts in New York. I want to become a modeler and an animator , and I am terrible at drawing. I know basic modeling and animation which i learnt from an local academy in my town. Most of the portfolios I saw which were accepted contained hand drawn stuff. Will i get accepted if I only include some 3d models and pieces of animation? I am very serious about it and i have also started preparing for English tests such as the IELTS. Thank you!

Ballu .. first select your specialization ( animation or modeling ).. then start working on it.. don't hurry... learn thoroughly...

Great video. Some nice advice's. But the edit was killing my eyes. Sound wise all ok, and if you just listen its great. But looking at it, with everything jumping it was a nightmare. I understand that there was a lot of water that you edited. But I would rather watch a 2+ hour long video than this edit. Hope next time you prepare a script or don't edit that much. Anyway great job. Really interesting topics for animators. Keep'em coming.

I feel like animation is much like cooking in a sense, it's a lot about the feel, even on written recipes you see a lot of :salt to taste. What I mean is that it has a lot to do with the feeling, how you feel when watching how others feel when watching.

Sir Wade Neistadt it definitely was! Although there are more topics to cover (get on it asap, pls xD). i dont know if you remember this wade, but about 5 months ago i started my animating journey on my own, and it proved to be super tough. So when i commented on one of your videos and asked for advice, you said a few words which motivated me a lot. Also assured me that i was on the right track. I can never thank you enough for that xD been working on my skills ever since. If you have time, please take a look at my channel again, and i assure you im not the only one who took inspiration from your how to become an animator series xD thanks again cheers!
