My top red and colorful plants I’ve grown have been: _Alternanthera reineckii_ (lowkey amazing to grow, haha.. great colors) _Cryptocoryne albida_ _Cryptocoryne_ 'Pink Flamingo' _C. spiralis_ 'Red' _C. undulata_ _C. wendtii_ 'Red' & 'Bronze' _Echinodorus_ 'Aflame' _Echinodorus_ 'Ozelot' _Echinodorus_ 'Red Chameleon' _Echinodorus_ 'Red Diamond' _Ludwigia repens_ _Nymphaea stellata_ (common, basic pink dwarf lily, sold as bulbs for $3 at most pet stores, lol. Great grower) _Nymphaea zenkeri_ 'Red Tiger Lotus' Personally, from my own experience-and yes, I know that this is not everyone’s cup of tea, per se-I have found soil or dirted/"dirty" tanks to be ideal, not only for redder leaves, but for INSANE plant growth, period. There is so much to learn on KZbin about aquascaping nowadays, anything is possible. That’s how I perfected my dirt tank technique! KZbin! 😂

Can I put more fishes to generate more co2 instead of artificially add co2 into water? Is that a practical and natural solution for co2 requirement?
@BucePlantАй бұрын
Thanks for your question! While fish respiration does produce CO2, the amount is too minimal to meet the demands of high-tech plants requiring CO2 for optimal growth. Adding more fish to compensate could lead to overstocking, harming water quality and stressing both fish and plants. For low-tech setups, fish can arguably support plants like Java Fern or Anubias, but for CO2-demanding aquascapes, a CO2 system ensures consistent levels for thriving plant growth.
