Tips for Saxenda | Mindful Pharmacist

This video is a client consultation to demonstrate an injection technique for Saxenda.
Injection technique demonstrated at 5:27.
It can be quite different reading the product information as suppose to having the first injection demonstrated by your health care provider.
Summary tips from the video:
1. ensure new needle at every injection
2. change injection site every day
3. gently move the skin to the side before injection so that when the skin bounces back after injection, it naturally plugs the injection site
4. keep a mindfulness journal of your weight loss process to track the changes you make, breakthrough mental resistance, track side effects and increase awareness of your body's response to medication.

So soothing and sincere that I actually felt comfortable and confident to start using this pen. I was so chill and so relaxed by your tone, it made me hit the like 👍 button (❤) and blindly sub, lol 😆 Again thank's for the info, but I do have one question; my pharmacy labeled it as a "keep refrigerated." But you said I could keep it out at room temperature, which is ideal, because I'm in and out all day. Your response would greatly help, since I'm not attached to a fridge all day, lol, and especially because I'm trying to dine better. @suneetsachdeva2168 it has been rocky. I lost too much weight too fast on the shots so I had to get off of it at which point the weight returned. I'm with a nutritionist now and have found a sustainable and much slower way to lose weight so working towards the goal all the same :)

I did my first dose today and after I removed the needle from my skin I noticed a bit of liquid on my skin. Does this mean that the injection didn't all go in or is this normal? I counted to ten so maybe I should angle it, I did it pretty straight on... also would you recommend pinching the skin? I feel like some videos show this and some dont? Great video. I've just gone up to 1.2mg and the counter doesn't go back to zero after that injection. It has a blank widow between 0.6 and 1.2. Is this a 1.2mg dose or is it just injecting 0.6mg?
