Gonna give you guys some pro tips from the media team that's with the headliner and the crew running the show: 1. **Get in Through the Openers, But Stay the F*ck Outta the Way** Yeah, you can get into some of these shows by working for the opening acts. But remember: you’re NOT there to meet the headliner. You’re rolling with the opening artist’s media, so overstepping is gonna piss off the house team and headliner’s team real quick. Step wrong, and you’re blacklisted fast. 2. **Introduce Yourself to the Headliner’s Media Team First** Going straight for the tour manager’s gonna get you kneecapped, stage access blocked. Always connect with the headliner’s media team first. Offer to help-do some BTS, grab a fan for a quick shot, whatever. Make friends with the media team, fast. 3. **Tour Media ≠ Music Video Production** Tour media’s got nothing to do with who gets hired for the artist’s music videos. I do both as a lot of my artists will use my live show footage in their music videos and visualizers. But, if the artist posts your show video and it outperforms their usual content, the label will notice. It’s your shot at maybe getting a test run with a new or smaller artist with that label. Be organized in preproduction; the label’ll love that. This is where you meet the NEXT drake, the next up and comer. If you crush hat opportunity you are SET and wind up being their preferred go to. 4. **Discretion Is Key-Don’t Post About Getting Kicked Out** No more mentioning “I got kicked out”. Big artists and labels hate liabilities. Keep it low-key and professional. 5. **Get Business Insurance** Get bonded to be on stage. Hiscox has cheap monthly plans and COIs ready for festival work. 6. **Get Even Coverage and Keep It Clean** Front, back of house, stage-you need balanced coverage. If you want to stylize, go ahead, but keep the cinematography clean. Tone down the flashy transitions; some label reps hate too much hype in edits. Use a Zoom H1n for audio over a shotgun; 10/10, artists prefer it, and raw audio for drops will get you far. **One More Thing:** What gets you thru the doors are great recommendations from other artists , pr reps and management. Most of which are run by women who are part of an industry wide whatsapp group chat. One that immediately pings the entire group to network, share new work, hire, fire, and blacklist. As long as your reputation is solid and your work is good, you'll go far. However one mis step and a clash of egos can end things abruptly. and whatever you do, don't wind up on mainstage mentality as a meme lol. good luck brother! idk where you're located but i'm sure i could prob kick some work your way in the future.

These are some awesome tips man. Are you doing most of these for free since you are using these as gateway to shooting music videos? I'm trying to shoot as much concert recaps as possible but in Belgium most bands/artists don't have any budget to pay for these. Would love to do them for free but this doesn't pay the bills of course 😅
