Tips for Street Preaching & Personal Witnessing

Here are some good general tips for both street preaching (the right way) and personal witnessing--complete with videos snippets of them in use--Some fit both contexts, some don't (open-airs are more edgy to keep the crowd and one-to-one is more quiet and patient--but BOTH are loving and right).

Wow! I think I will watch this more than twice,since I am inspired to do more. So far I have been holding signs on street corners with scriptures like "Seek the Lord while he may be found" or " Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and don't do what I say?" Passing out a few tracts. Now I'm sure I will open my mouth to spread the Truth. I already have a portable amplifier and some pouches I can wear on my belt. I live in a small town area, where there are no crowds except occasionally at the fair ground. Pray that I will find more venues for my challenge. I'm only 80 years young, and am feeling excited for the first time in 40 years. I'm so glad I ran across this video, I have been watching street preaching ones. I like Jesse Morrell. This one is a real blockbuster. Thank you, I will watch other ones of yours. For now, God love you and angels watch over you!

OffTheKirb Street Preaching Hi, I realize you posted this comment a while ago, but I think I might have suggestion for you. If you have a heckler, but they're not angry and enthusiastic, try to continue preaching over their voice and this should either shut them down or get them angry enough to heckle the way you want them to.

Preach the truth unabashed and undiluted, rebellious spirits will rise soon enough. Pointing out errors in their thinking serves this well too. Even in doing it for their good, they can get angry (people don’t want to be wrong or feel conviction). Do not stir anger for its own sake. Let God speak through you and pray. We are working for their good, not to use or manipulate people to gain a hearing.

Oh my gosh! Ray you are so bold, pointing man's sin, I couldn't do that way, perhaps because you have an authority as a pastor. But thank God the Lord uses video testimony of NDE where the Lord saved her (Tamara Laroux) from hell. That is where those of my listeners repent of their sin and it is so effective with God's power.

As a street preacher any sound advice i will hear thanks for the pointers. But as a cripple the soap box is out. But I do like the advice to use negative words like hell, vile, wiced and so forth and not just the love of God which would be a false balance. i use hell quite a bit and the law. Thank you.

I’d offer to step out in faith. Role play with others to practice would help. Over time, you’ll notice folks typically have the same questions and objections, so you’ll know the answers better. Meanwhile, it’s ok saying you don’t know, or ask others to slow down do you can respond. The call in mainly ti the conscious, which takes practice to not get to distracted. Basically, I’d offer you prayerfully step out and trust the Lord. Don’t be too surprised when he grants knowledge, wisdom, and abilities beyond what you thought possible.

I wonder How many Christians are going to do what Ray is doing now. What excuse do Christians have for not doing it after watching Ray. How many Christians out there are going to start doing what Ray is doing or are you going to be like many Christians you going to think to your self its not your problem. I was reading the bible one day were it said if Christians fail to warn the lost people and if they die in their sin that in Judgment their blood will be on Christians hands. Ok so he preached for 18 months without elevation and didn't get a crowd but as soon as he stood up on a soap box people started to listen. (Tip #21 32:21) My question here is - is the message any more valid or meaningful from a soap box or will people just listen to any old rubbish spoken from a higher height with someone with a loud voice regardless of the actual message? Make up your own mind but in my opinion you will attract a crowd of people if you can speak louder than everyone else. Why does god need street preachers - is this a form of discrimination? Why does he just choose certain people to come out on the street on soap box?

It may surprise you to learn that the phrase “Repent of your sins” or “Repent from your sins” is not found anywhere in the Bible. The word of God does not demand repentance from sin to be saved. Biblical repentance is directly tied to biblical revelation. This is not a turning from sin rather this is a changing of mind about who and what could solve your sin problem. Ray in his videos says that believing is a righteous work? This would have to be nothing but confusing to a nonbeliever. the Gospel of John quotes believe over 100 times and is mentioned over 200 times in the New Testament alone. Mainly it's God's will that we believe, of cause just believing without faith and trust in the cross is not enough to be saved but God's gift of Grace responding the call of the Holy Spirit is a done deal. Telling people to stop sinning when we clearly cannot and those that say they do not are lying and have sinned. Believing that we are responsible to keep the Law leads inevitably to the inability to stop sinning. When we disagree with God and hang onto the idea that we must fulfill the law, we lose our joy in salvation and set ourselves up for failure. The only way to break the cycle and stop sinning is to accept the fact that we cannot stop sinning. Christ fulfilled the Law and the moment we come to terms with that we will have joy and peace. Romans 7 seems to be a chapter that living waters seems not to relate regarding its perfect depiction of struggling with the flesh! How would you witness to Paul, would you say to him stop sinning?? He knows his struggle with the flesh. A last thought what about the thief on the cross...HE JUST BELIEVED, he did not have time to discuss all the theological angles he saw Christ in the flesh and believed we see Christ through the scriptures, believe and trust in him, Faith alone, Christ alone! Romans 4:5 “And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,” Romans 4:5 Jonah 3:10 proves that turning away from evil ways is work, “And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.” Repenting of Sin is a WORK! And does not save you (Ephesians 2:8-9) Tell us it’s “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:30-31 “And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent (change of mind) and believe in the gospel.” (Jesus Christ) Mark 1:15.

In this example, Ray made a claim and presented us case; so, you need to make your case - not merely make a claim and put the burden of proof on everyone else to disprove your claim for which you haven’t made a case. In none of the millions of artefacts, cave paintings, scriptures or any other testimony in the 297,000 years before the bible, your “one and only” god was ever mentioned. No one is pushing anything down you're throat, someone preaching something in the street, is it too hard to ignore and walk past? Some cult (JW or Mormons) at the door? Too hard for you to ignore it? With the sickness, I don't know if that is the cause of the sickness. I don't think you know the definition of lying. The Baptist preachers are sincerely believing that. So they are not willing to deceive anyone knowing the real truth but telling them something different. Christian preachers need to hate sin, and so does Ray, sin is evil, so God commands everyone everywhere to repent of sin and put their faith in Christ for their salvation. I would love to live in a world where there is no sin, but man loves to sin, loves to lie, steal, fornicate, hate.. and that is what Ray is preaching against. ChristisRisen Religion does not have a monopoly on good morals. Most people are good hearted and caring and don't need a preacher to tell them right from wrong. A good deed is worth more than words and showing some kindness and respect going a long way. If you look back there are many men and women of faith who have not practised what they preach. Which makes me wonder, if the promise of heaven was not included, would so many people be religious?

Street preaching is not cool. Why do you need tips for street preachers anyhow if your god is all powerful he will silence the opposition and amplify your voice. The fact that you have to make video tips for preaching puts you into an assumed higher authority than god.
