That’s basically how me and my friends counter Joseph. My friend is a great priestess so she does all the rescue work and let her do the saving in the mirror world if we needed to while the rest of us doing the decode. We trust her a lot. Once the mirror world is done, we usually have 2-3 ciphers done by that time. If no one saves our other mirror image, we go to the safest place to hide before we go down and wait for my friend to pick me up. Really easy to counter Joseph.

Momo Takagawa I don’t mean to be offend your friend here and I’m sure she is a great player but in the early game the priestess is useless because her decoding is slow and her kiting ability is poor. I agree, when she gets her portals she can be one of the most irritating characters in the game. However if the hunter goes for her straight away she has nothing because her ability isn’t there yet. Also Doesnt matter who uses them, gardener, lawyer, cowboy and mercenary are bad characters.

The best way to counter him is teamwork! Some photographers are not good yet because they are learning how to use it. But in good players the best thing is go away from your place when he take the photo because some of them change real and fake world too fast and he can find your location easy. :( Good tips! Especially heal twice!

@@monalisa7318 I agree, I'm a rookie and I die really fast. I struggle at kiting the most and I almost always lose first or get tied then getting saved and getting everyone in trouble. So I actually ask them not to rescue me so that they won't deal much damage but they still do. (Though I think if you rescue someone and then both of you weren't caught it would be really great. You can heal each other and get back on your feet again. More teammates means faster decoding.) There are others that just watch when you decode and tag along without doing anything. Some are not willing to decode the last cipher and just go directly in the gate. And some just doesn't help their teammates even though they're there watching their teammate get ballooned by the hunter.

truth is, campers are easy to beat; a tip, don’t go to the small shack in the hospital and if you spawn there move somewhere else, that’s where most killers go first. if you are found first though try this: depending on what killer it is, this always works - as soon as you hear the heartbeat go to a pallet. crouch, but chances are they’ll still see you so you better start looping that pallet. don’t throw it down too quickly but don’t do it late either, the first time you run through the hunter would think you would throw it down and swing through it; *dont throw it down after they swing* you can still make use of it. when you can, move somewhere else. the big building in the middle of arms factory is amazing to loop, the hospital is also good: most killers - like myself- don’t go in there while chasing since we would _never_ catch them. don’t be afraid to take a hit either, just move to another kit-able area. edit: forgot to mention, many killers use blink so watch out for that, and when the hunter is in the middle of breaking the pallet you can run through it.

Arms Factory:Run as fast as you can to the Factory or throw down a pallet Kite the hunter with the windows there eventually the hunter will give up or be determined enough to enter the building but as they are slow af you can leave through the windows but if they catch up continue the Kiting Sacred Heart Hospital:Maps small everything is nearby go to the hut that’s where the LOL’s Happens in this map the window is there and there’s a pallet there too kite there everything will be fine judging from my experience XD Lake side Village:The big boat has a huge crack go around a circle of the crack while being chased the hunter will fall down try not to fall with them Red church:Just go to the damm Cemetary. That part has a lot of pallets Leo’s Memories:Due to Ultimate snow hunters sometimes Lag tho everywhere in Leo’s memories is a kiting place Non is not its a big map Moonlit river park: A lot of windows and Able to ride stuff is an advantage if your nearby a roller coaster WITH A CART get in it fast the working carousel trick doesn’t work much anymore but sometimes it does just go on it Is that all the maps XD

it was easy against him when he actually uses the photo world. In the beginning always hide somewhere safe until photo world is open and when someone is in chair in photo world. Use command follow me. To a certain safe place. For me its mostly the main building. In that match we gathered there often in hospital map. Gathered like 5 times or more? 3 survived 1 died cuz too slow. There was one time photographer did use his skill photo world, but was instead camping in the real world after getting someone in chair lol. I mean sure, hunter can win like this but totally wasted the photographer skill.

You played well overall, you didn’t play bad like you think you did! However, a few mistakes were made and I think these will be more useful to survivors. 1. At 2:57 you should have ran to the window; Joseph is slow and can’t reach you in time. Additionally you have a left to right which means you can get an additional speed bonus to put more distance between you and Joseph. 2. At 4:56 you should have remained by the window. A common strategy with hunters is to back-pedal to the gap in the wall enabling a hit on you, if you stayed by the window then you could have seen him round the corner and vault back. Overall I think this is good gameplay so well done!

Here are some common tips for the newbies. Sorry if I use the wrong terms since I play on Asian server. People use "Focus on decoding" to remind their teammates to decode but most of the time, we use that to *tell our teammates our decoding location/cipher* , you need to know which cipher your teammates are decoding using the minimap so that you can *finish their half decode cipher if they're being chased by the hunter* Moreover, it's better to not decode the same cipher with your teammates especially at the start of the game, find the other cipher unless there aren't any nearby or some special case happen then you should decode with your teammate.

Uhh to counter Joseph is simply entering the photo world when it activates.. then run away... Always make sure to jump out back to the real world occasionally to check since you really don't want to jump back out and find that he is near. Works Everytime if Joseph is not near you... If he is near you it prevents him from fully knocking you out if your mirror self isn't there to just idly standing. Magician can kite escape him, so does High Priestess. By the way, the forward should have tide Turner seeing it prevents Joseph from down him and you after rescue.

I followed this with also healing my image self and saving others. It was the longest match ever of 16 minutes going on 17. In the end we lost with me escaping. But this does great tbh. I never thought I could ever kite Joseph or escape from him. Mad respects for this. ALSO. I endded up using his camera as a way to kite. I jump in soon as he try to take a hit and it was an endless cycle till it ran out. Camped my self image but left it alone so I could heal it. Let me tell you. A lot of work and I am so satisfied.

As someone who plays Joseph mostly because I was entranced by how pretty he was and THEN realised he was “OP”, the one thing that would hinder us a lot is if we can’t even find you. Perhaps it’s just me? But I’m some of the most lost hunters in the game until I find the survivors. Teamwork always helps as well. Unless you have that one selfish bastard who just kinda heck cares it.

You can also tell if you're playing against Joseph by looking at your survivors' health at the top right, they show a glow for a brief moment when the game starts. And as for me, I go hide in the locker whenever Joseph takes a picture. Thanks for the tip, but non of them show me how to counter him without lagging. Seriously, they need to patch some bug quick, because I've encountered Joseph many times and I can't even kite for crap, a few time are when I opened the exit gate, Joseph appeared out of the Photo world, and I recieved over 300ms, and chaired...

Yes, my lastest game fought him one by one coz my team wiped out (1 chiper left tho) All you need to do is hide in locker at early game, decode when he enter FWorld, hide again when FWorld runs out; repeat.. I finished the gate when he atked me in FW Pretty selfish move tho
