Hello! Today I want to share some things I've learned from coaching Beginner Table Tennis players. I like to only teach a player the bare minimum needed to get them going and stay motivated. I've learned that if I teach too much at once, then the player gets frustrated, has slower progress, and develops bad habits!

great tips. I find this tips after 10 years from my Experience because no one taught to me about this.

You are a good coach. We all have to learn to walk first, rather than start to run. Your Table Tennis coaching is simple and specific by keeping it simple, KISS rule is applied in your lessons. 🏓🙏👍

I am a beginner, but fortunately, I am also my own coach. So, I won't be learning or teaching myself some of the bad habits that the pros do.

Nice beginner video; especially about extending the arm on the BH stroke. Maybe add the „golden triangle“ as well as staying low from the beginning as well. These are two areas of habits that I find hard to break with new people coming to practices.

Getting people to exert the extra energy/effort to maintain that low position is definitely a battle, for some. Hoping to mention the "Golden Triangle" idea in a Forehand video. Great thoughts! Thanks again for the feedback.

Ahhhh a new table tennis channel! So hyped. Subscriber 14 here from the UK! Really great clear video. I wish I watched this back when I was learning, I have ALL those bad habits 💀. The table position is a good tip. I learnt that habit early on and as a result I struggle to play multiple forehands in a row as I don't have the movement speed, or my arm movement is too long, not sure which. Would love to see a video on forehand topspin in the future too 🙏 I really struggle keeping it low and then how it compares to a forehand drive in technique.

Actually very good advice, so much more behind this simple advice. but people will only understand later how important this was.

I’ve learned that people (including myself) can only really focus on 2 or 3 things at a time if they hope to make any MEANINGFUL progress with something. So yes, I’m trying to explain just enough to get someone started down the right path, and then hope they stick with it enough to uncover the reasons why later. Thanks for watching and subbing!

What is not mentioned is how to correct some of the bad habits that many beginners have developed due to lack of proper coaching.

How much does a setup like that with the table and robot cost? And what kinds would you recommend?
@PingPongPowerhouse
@PingPongPowerhouse 11 ай бұрын
It’s not cheap, sadly 😩 I bought my setup 6 years ago though, and have had very few issues and lots of good times practicing, improving, and showing family and friends. I would buy it all again. I would recommend robots from the brands “PowerPong” and “Butterfly”. A robot that allows you to program different spins and save exercises to memory will probably cost about $1500, minimum. And a decent table would probably be $350-$400 minimum.

FH: DHS Hurricane III BH: Stiga Mantra Blade: Nittaku Acoustic - Offensive I was using a faster Donic blade (and rubbers) before this, but the handle was huge and felt like I was swinging a “board”, haha. I love the control/precision I get from this Blade and FH Rubber combo 👍

I don’t have Online Private Coaching videos today. Just focusing on the KZbin channel for now before I jump into doing something like that someday.
