Great point about auditory memory, Mike. I'm finding Forvo audio clips indispensable for learning vocabulary.

Майк, привет! Спасибо за видео, очень интересно! У меня был одноклассник (русский), который говорил "мОлОкО", "Что-тО", "кОнеЧнО". Ты здорово объясняешь, продолжай снимать полезный контент :)

Tt is very common to say ЗдорОво in informal way ( the same with stress on the first O means cool ) . Kids very often great to adults by Здрасти ( Драсти ) . Mike did a good job omitting some letters from word Здравствуйте . This is a way how the sounds of that word are reduced in Russian . I saw many foreigners trying to pronounce in Russian that I I being a native speaker barely could

Great video. It's interesting that even after 4 years, I still struggle just hearing the difference beteeen ш & щ.

Unfortunately, I think that is very common!

They are the same sound , but one is hard and the second is soft variant. All the rest soft-hard variants expressed in the same letters

@@ЭдуардЛаншин Not sure what you mean exactly. Since the difference between the two can be heard, that qualifies for me anyway, as two different sounds.

@@mwgood523 Ok , soft Ш doesn't exist , as well as hard Щ . Pronounce Ш and in the same position for the tip of the tongue get close the tongue back to the palatine , as usually you do to produce soft sound for any letter . They are classified as different sounds , but theirs difference is such as it is in any hard -soft pare . May be I wrong in my explanation , but why not to try to distinguish them my way.

@@ЭдуардЛаншин Unfortunately, I don't understand your point. I'm am simply saying that they are two different sounds. I don't think that can be debated.
