FYI that's your 4x4 shift linkage not the emergency brake that you're holding with the crowbar.

Great pick up Christopher, I must admit I had just assumed it was the e brake and didn't look into it. Thanks for watching and your comment. Ross

How long did it take to bleed the clutch
@RossPerryProductions2 жыл бұрын
Hi Matt, I would say about 2 hours as I had not done it before and I tried bleeding with it in situ, it would probably take about 1 hour now knowing its easier to remove the cylinder. I hope the Video helped. Ross

@@RossPerryProductions I gravity bleed it put a pressure pump on it plus I've been pumping on it for 2 hours

@@matthewsparks112 and there is still air in there?? The system isn't that long so it shouldnt take more than about 10 mins of bleeding. have you tried tilting the slave cylinder to try and get the air to the bleed valve?
@budbruce Жыл бұрын
It literally took me about 20 minutes to do it, I used a vacuum. I think it was 0.5 a vacuum and I just let it take it's time and I've not had a problem.

Hi Sean, yea my apologies, it was too hard to try and film and do it at the same time, I just couldn't get the angles with the camera, I do remember it being very tricky!

When I pulled the hydraulic line out of the old slave, there was no little rubber cap. I did it slow are carefully and I'm certain it didn't fly off and roll away. I looked inside and even smashed the slave open with a hammer and it wasn't there. The boot was torn on the old one though. I inserted the line into the new slave, removed the master cylinder cap and pumped it by hand until it had pressure. Then I bolted it up and pressed the clutch about 50 times. Jeep was parked facing up hill. I then put the cap back on and drove it around the block. It works perfectly fine. I checked the slave and no leaks. My question to anybody and everybody is, has anyone experienced this also? Not having the little rubber cap? I haven't driven it far yet so if it starts leaking I know why. But so far so good and it's interesting that there was no cap present. 🤷♂️ Does anyone know the part number for the hydraulic line? Just incase.

are you referring to the black plastic cap on the end of the cylinder as shown at 2:20 in the video? or the little rubber cap on the bleed nipple?
@elguapo7722 Жыл бұрын
@@RossPerryProductions yes the cap on the hydraulic line, not the bleed nipple. I drove it around town yesterday and no leaks or pressure loss but I don't feel confident because everyone says it will leak without it.

have you tried to source one? it would probably be fine in the short term but I would look to get one, everything is there for a reason right, even if it is to not let any grit or dirt in.

Prefill slave. Some come prefilled. Then vacuum bleed. Should be a about 10-20 min
