Just try talking to them. If you dont feel like a girl then you need to tell people. I wish you luck, I would have more tips but you have a different situation. If your young then your parents might not be very supportive. If you need to then wait until you move out until you come out. Good luck? 🏳️🌈
@Femme995 жыл бұрын
Caden_ Hardwick I agree with the other commenter. You should definitely talk to them. I’m guessing from what you wrote that you’ve already come out, sure they don’t sound supportive but they didn’t disown you so that’s a good thing. If your parents love you and want the best for you they should be more concerned with how you feel than what they feel. Certainly because this effects you more than it effects them. You being compromised because they can’t let go of their image of having a daughter is not okay. Sure, it’s a huge adjustment to them because they might feel like they lost their daughter when in reality you are still you. You are still that same person but now you are their son. A lot of times parents need an adjustment period to accept that but in the meantime you still need to think about yourself, if you feel uncomfortable presenting as a girl you need to express that to them in a way they understand. Maybe draw parallels to your dad and ask how he’d feel if he had to dress the way they feel like you should. It would feel vary wrong? Well, that’s the way you’ve been feeling

Also doing some other things like working out and voice training, wearing your hair up in a beanie or smth and wearing more unisex clothes perhaps could make you pass better (+ it'd show your commitment and your parents might see that you're happier like that and come around?). I wish you luck man, honestly just be true to yourself and ignore anyone who tries to put you down

"It's because of Testosterone can't help" etc. I want NOBODY to follow my steps , you are all special and precious and please don't risk your health/life by doing shots yourself from unreliable recourses. If you are gonna wear a t shirt, make sure it has a tight neckline and fitted sleeves if you can get them, this will overall give a broader look to your shoulders. I’ve learned that baggy cloths actually make one look smaller, and as you mentioned clothes that fit make a big difference. As for hoodies that hug the hips I try to stretch out the lower waistband before wearing. When it comes to button downs, they are good to hide a chest, but avoid flannel and I find leaving them completely open with a baseball t underneath works well. Just a few tips I find work :)

I've seen a lot of transgender males make that mistake with this. When it's button, it gives the appearance your over compensating and your nervous about something. Leaving it unbuttoned gives the appearance your relaxed and comfortable.

I'm ftm and my mom doesn't know. It hurts when she calls me my deadname, but that's my fault for not telling her. It took me years to convince her to get really short hair. My dad knows but keeps it from my mom, because he wants me to tell her not him. He calls me Tyler, uses male pronouns for me, he calls me son too. My sister has always known me as her big sister so she calls me Sis. It sucks, but she's also 3, I've said "Brother. " but stopped after a bit because it would confuse my mom. I'm currently only 12, so I do have 6 years until I can move out, or get t, or do anything like that. Hopefully it's worth the wait

My family told me I couldn't be trans because of how I dress... I still love dresses and skirts because that became my safe clothes. And because I didn't have a fase were I dressed over extreem masculine they don't believe me. But I had, it was 2 weeks long till I noticed that so extreem masculine was not who I am. Yes I'm a man, but not that masculine as they want me to be. I watched this to look what I can wear to make me at least pass in my family, but you're right, it shouldn't matter how I dress.

I’m looking forward to when I get my first binder especially because it will be in the colour of my skin tone. I will be able to rock white shirts in that :)
@pugproductions44625 жыл бұрын
CORRECTION: your binder only shows if you wear a white shirt IF YOU ARE WHITE OR HAVE LIGHTER SKIN. If you are black, like me, a black/dark colored binder will blend in with your skin. If you are white, a white/light colored binder will blend in. Same thing works with bras.

To wear a white shirt, layer an undershirt over your binder, then your white shirt over that. It's not as sus as you might think - a lot of cisguys wear undershirts under everything they wear for any number of reasons (absorb sweat, hide nipples, hide bodyhair - you name it), and the collar of the shirt will sit tighter to your neck than the straps of a binder, so it'll take care of that strap-showing issue as well.

instead of asking yourself "what am i", asking yourself "what would make me happy" may help. gender identity is complicated, so take your time with yourself, and whatever answer you come to is okay, and if you change your mind later that's okay too
@alexruzicka97083 жыл бұрын
That doesnt make you trans.we are born that way and you cant specifically struggle with it,do what you want,if you arent thinking of yourself as a girl but rather as a boy,then transition.
@duncandonuts6513 жыл бұрын
I used to feel the same way. I liked having a flat chest some days, and liked showing off my curves others. Then, sometimes, I felt like neither gender. Then, I happened to discover this thing called being ✨gendeefluid✨ ppl who are genderfluid alter their gender to how they feel that day. If I feel like dressing masc, I consider my pronouns to be he/him/they/them. And just the opposite for days I feel like being feminine. Hope this helps!! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

clothes that help with my dysphoria: basketball shorts, big sweaters, any kind of sports brand (like Champion, Adidas, Nike), boots (they make you look and feel taller), dark colored clothes in general, team Jerseys, camo... also make sure if you want to wear jeans you try them on first and they're not tight at all

so- ive been having trouble with trying to look more masculine, because i have larger thighs making me appear more feminine, and ive always had a larger chest. I dont have a binder but luckily my friends are supportive and try to help me out. I cant wear skinny jeans because of my larger feminine legs, and i cant wear tighter shirts because of my chest and me not being able to buy a binder. Somehow im still rarely misgendered-
