The seats were larger but what was noticeably different was the food: the portions were twice the size and the meals were multi-course. The only tip I learned, is if you're hot and have a television crew following you, you get an upgrade. So what about the rest of us (the other 99.9999%)? About that Hilton "upgrade." A couple years ago I stayed at a Hilton in San Francisco. They offered me a "free" upgrade when I checked in. I couldn't say no to that. On the morning I left, they slipped a note/bill under the door showing my charges. They charged me an extra $125 a night for the room because I "upgraded." I called the front desk saying I didn't authorize any extra charge. They called me back a short time later saying I signed for the upgrade. I insisted I did not, saying again the front desk said it was a free upgrade, and show me something saying I signed for the extra charge (I'm careful in what I sign). They finally gave in and reversed the charges.
