The shower cap doesn’t work If you sweat in your scalp. It’s better to comb your leave out to the back of the hair, tie it down with a scarf tight as you can and then put the shower cap on, soon as you get out of the shower take the shower cap off but leave scarf on til you done getting dressed, then take the scarf off and style as usual. And I say this because my 4c stubborn natural hair will go back to its original state if I don’t follow these steps. Just saying❤

Wow I took your advice about the hair care for my weave. I used treseme to shampoo my hair 2x and omg it really changed the game! weave brought it back to life! And I stopped using oil. It made a HUGE difference! I used John Frieda hair serum instead . Thank you!!

1. Blow dry underneath the hair weft to prevent “mold” underneath the sew in 2. Do not use the highest setting on the flat iron to prevent shedding 3. For sew ins to last, make sure the foundation of the braids are not too big, small enough for the sew in to fit the way you desire it to 4. Invest in a silk bonnet to use after wrapping one side of the hair to one side while brushing it through

Yes. They're talking about molding of the braid after you get it wet....A LOT of times, people can't get the braid completely dry (me included), so they're afraid to wash it :o

Wash it really good with a shampoo and conditioner and make sure you rinse the conditioner out good. Then use paul mitchell skinny serum a small amount to add shine and softness thats it .

Yes. The braids are secured underneath the weave and covered. Because of this they dont get much air. So think of a wet towel sitting in a dark basement.. it’s going to grow mold/mildew. This can happen on the scalp/hair as well. But usually it will trigger yeast to grow on the scalp not mold
