The problem is you can't really close an account with many companies so they hold onto information for as long as they want . I wanted to close my turbo tax account completely and it can't be done . Laws need to be changed so that you can completely close a account you do business with and completely remove your I formation . Also the availability to change your social number if compromised or figure another way to check identity that can be changed

I simply won't sign a contract with companies that require my SS. Only banks, government or insurance companies will ever receive that information.

Same here. Did you ever created home internet 4G or cellular plan with at&t? I was so shocked coz my credit card company provide free dark web scanning and I got scared so I came here to find those with similar experiences

I HAD AT&T YEARS AGO, THEY GAVE ME MY PHONE NUMBER AND ACTUALLY SOLD THE SAME NUMBER TO SOMEONE ELSE, I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK AND MY DAUGHTER TRIED TO CALL ME AND A MAN ANSWERS WHAT HE SAID SCARED MY DAUGHTER SO BAD AND HAD MY WHOLE FAMILY BELIEVING I WAS KIDNAPPED AND PANIC WAS ON. I WAS TOLD NOTHING COULD BE DONE ABOUT IT.

Do you have a problem Sue AT&t for the last year and a half we've been getting robocalls everyday about 7 or 8:00 calls a day from American advantage plans if you tried to call a number they bought it on your call also robocalls on other insurance and death insurance this has been going on for about a year and a half everyday I am sick of it and I'm going to sue their asses p children nose bleeds
