TIPS on selecting files and rasps (Nicholson)

I found a Nicholson Black Diamond File for $1 (made in USA with a nice red handle) at an estate sale. I am a gardener and couldn’t pass $1 up. I was wondering if it could be used to sharpen garden hand tools? BTW do you have any videos showing how you use your files. Thanks in advance.

As long as that file is sharp, it will do amazing things with sharpening, a shovel, and anything else. You’ll be surprised what a sharp shovel will do. I probably have videos sharpening I’ll kinds of things but I can’t remember them offhand. Over the years I’ve created like 5000 videos so it’s hard to remember. I’m glad you enjoyed the video great find for a dollar.👍 Hope this information is helpful.

Youre using old Nicholson files that were made in USA. The new ones are made in Mexico and are garbage.
