Another helpful tip is to SLOW DOWN when necessary. I’m glad I listened to the Holy Spirit on this one because my home would have been chaotic if I had tried to keep up with the scheduled plan. It also helped me to take care of myself. Another great tip for me is start the school year off with last year’s curriculum as a review and begin the new curriculum a few weeks later. Have a wonderful blessed year!!!

Okay I recently came across your channel as I have recently decided to homeschool my 4 year old. Unfortunately I have come down with chronic illness and my whole life has changed so I decided to homeschool and when you mentioned it's okay if you don't start on time I literally cried my eyes out thank you for recognizing and agnowleging this because it's overlooked and I have been feeling down during my research and feeling all the feels of weather or not I can do this based off the picture perfect things I see here. Thank you sooooo much!

I have homeschooled for 23 years and have had many illnesses, chronic illness and just difficult times. My motto is Slow and Steady Wins the Race. There is more curriculum and more people on You Tube than when I first started. Actually there wasn't KZbin when I started. So it can be overwhelming.....helpful but also overwhelming. Take all the stuff you see with a grain of salt and go at your pace and do your own thing and it will work out!!

Lol!!! Buying too much is a problem for me too! This is honestly one of my favorite videos, ever!!! And we are going on year 3! With 2 boys who have different challenges and special needs, we are still learning about them and their abilities everyday.

These are such great reminders. I'm going in my 3rd year and starting to feel the pressure of everyone starting homeschooling this month. We are in NJ and schools don't start here normally until after labor day, but still it can be hard to see everyone ending in early May and we are still going. I might just not go on social media in May 😅

When I did homeschool my son, he used to absolutely loathe going in Dollar Tree. He’d be like, “Mama, please don’t go to the teacher section.” 😂😂😂😂 I was always buying things I did not need.
