I just wanted to say I greatly appreciate you creating these skate videos. They have helped me tremendously with my confidence in roller skating. Just you talking about the struggles of certain parts of the skate park and breaking down tricks helps out a lot.

How do you not get stuck on the cracks in front of the ramp? My skatepark has big gaps or cracks in front of the ramps and as a beginner I can't build up enough speed to get over them. Or maybe I don't have the right technique 😅

I feel ya on that- our local skate parks here are so gritty too! I was just talking about that with my partner. Personally I wear softer wheels at the park when it’s super rough, it helps me roll over all that. I am amazed at some of the ramp holes and cracks I’ve skated over. Softer wheels aren’t as fast so it’s more physical effort, but they do roll over better so I don’t have to worry about them catching. Good question! Of course this is what works for me, there are lots of tips that help help with that & I’ll be posting a lot more as a part of this series so hopefully if you follow along some of those are helpful for you to try as well!

If there are bad cracks at a place you regularly skate, get some bog and fill it in. There are heaps of tutorials online how to do it, really simple and makes a spot so much better.

Could you do one of these on stalls? I can stall on small ramps but am struggling when they get bigger. I know it’s a mental thing. Would appreciate tips!!
