Emphasis on don’t worry about being cool. You are there’s for the instructors and getting your license. I’m in CDL school right now making my first week and I tell you one thing !!!DO NOT MAKE FRIENDS!!! You there for instructors and to get licensed nothing else.

Just went to orientation I'm the only girl and all the men chatting it up the entire time with each other about their life and why they're doing this ect. I just listened lol not here to spill my life choices here to get what I paid 6100$ for the first damn time around, I also picked night class there's only 4 of us so happy for that

I start class July 11, 2022 and I’m so anxious I cannot wait I just did my physical today which I passed I do my drug screen next week which of course I pass I take the rest of my documentation of what they need tomorrow so I hope I fly through this class perfectly fine and doing great and start driving! Great video and great advice!!

Thanks for the tips! I start class the end of August so looking to be as prepared as I can be. Got my DOT physical done a couple months ago and got my commercial learner's permit last week. I'm a bit nervous going into it with sort of nothing more than the basics regarding trucking and the trucks themselves. That said I assume it's somewhat expected for students to come in lacking that knowledge. Probably just psyching myself out a bit lol.

Don't worry about it too much, you will have a chance to learn enough to get you the CDL. The real learning starts when you get your first job and start driving. The real world experience is where you learn.
