Right on. No one is going to care more about your claim that you. Do your due diligence, read the DBQ, read the 38 CFR. This knowledge is gold. Too many of us are setting up a negative decision without even knowing it. Looking back my denials all make sense based on my claims without evidence. Keep it up Dewayne. I filed a supplemental back claim with a DBQ and supporting evidence on Monday and same day they put some rapid review on the claim.

Please forgive the lack of domain knowledge, but as i review the DBQ for PTSD, im not seeing a lot of questions. I see a number if boxes that are checked for various criteria. I see Section I, #1 asks a question (is vet diagnosed?), #3: does vet have more than one MH condition, 3b, is it possible to differentiate (which isn't something id imagine the doc would ask, but rather seek to determine), 3c TBI?, 3d: is it possible to differentiate (again), 4: which of the following best summarizes...with 8 options for the doc to answer, but it isn't something id expect to BE asked by the doc. And 4b and c ask about differentiating again (a doc question, not a me question) SEC II , #2a-d is more "fill in the blank" notes. Should we expect questions to come from these narrative blocks? SEC II, #3 is a list of criteria for the doc to check . Do we just make sure to talk about thi gs that fall into these criteria so the examiner can check the boxes? And #4 of SEC II is a list of symptoms. Do we make sure thst our discussion covers the applicable symptoms? Again, please forgive my lack of domain knowledge.

I agree with you, and going to say "very" important to hit those check boxes and give the C&P examiner as much pertinent medical information as possible, and the key points on how it affects your life, that they can then use to write their report from. QTC that is doing my C&P Exams sends a Medical Evaluation Protocol for each health issue they are evaluating, that is to be filled out before the exam, which is similar to a DBQ.

Awesome video! I have had a claim for migraines pending for months. It has a valid nexus, DBQ , and diagnosis all included. I’m va.gov that claim looks a little different than my others. I think they might be going down the road to prepare to deny that you talked about on one of your other videos.

Another great video.... The VA denied my erectile disfunction claim without an exam....I am service connected for hypertension and prsd....one would think they could link it with just medical records which includes ED medication....I guess I need to get a Nexus letter, but if they scheduled an exam, I am sure it would go in my favor....The VBA schedules exams for everything else, even with sufficient Nexus and medical evidence....Should there have been a duty to assist in this case?

Toxic Exposure Risk Activities. TERA is actually a medical opinion that VBA asked if the claim is associated with the presumptive diagnosis

What do you do if the examiner didn’t even looked at the DBQ and just make some jokes and talking like he was your friend… I had de DBQ printed out, and I made him go back to some items as I knew he should have been asking… He verbally expressed acknowledgment of those items but the guy was actually away from the computer while he was talking to me… As I haven’t received a decision yet… I’m planning to use that as my defense if I have to file for a revision…but it was very unfortunate….

Had an ace cnp for migraines recently so they only looked at my nexus letter my personal medical records I submitted and the va medical records. So I noticed on claim status that the cnp was submitted and some dbqs. Would a bad cnp have dbqs as well?

Why? Did you look on the page that has the 38cfr reference as to why you were denied (ex. You have a presumptive condition but no diagnosis)? Look at that page and it will tell you why you were denied.
