Yeah, voice is 80% of the vlog......people just don't seem to realize it.

@@kevinrtres Audio in general is at least 50% of a vlog and most people ignore this fact. Most big name vloggers like Peter Mckinnon and Matti Happooja butcher their audio... with music blowing out speakers and then the actual talking being so low I have to constantly adjust my speaker volume. Julia seems better at this than most.

Hi! You're so awesome! I can listen to u talk all day.👌 also I'm a newbie in the business of Photography and Videography and i really stuggle with the question, "How much do you charge?" Do u have any advice on what to consider in finding the right price. Does the question "What is your budget?" a good question to start with? Sometimes I get college kids, sometimes I get people with a lot. Do I adjust or just set a fixed price? Things like that. 😁 again ur awesome! The vibe of the photos and videos are so chill. Love it!

My opinion is to have a fixed price. If your clients find out you're charging based on peoples' money that will get you on trouble.

The "yellow flowers" that you refer to at the beginning of the video are called gorse, Julia. They are a thorny evergreen bush that grow wild. Scotland is such a moody place- great for photos! Liked seeing your style done in such a different location.

Using a 135mm lens is nice but when I hike i carry a 18- 250 Sigma zoom lens which works great as I can go from wide angle to telephoto

Hey Julia, firstly I have to say your last videos has been very instructive and helpful for me to develop my photography... and I have a question which always comes into my mind when I'm dealing with edition, do you always start editing with presets or it doesn't necessarily has become a rule for you, cheers from Brazil!

Thank you so much! It's not so much as a rule, but using presets has become part of my workflow and my style of photography. It definitely makes life a lot easier and faster when it comes to editing a batch of images. I've created all the presets I use from scratch though, so sometimes when I'm feeling inspired or am after a new look with my photos or have a vision in mind, I won't use presets and will create something new instead :)

I didn't bring my 135 with me on this trip! I knew the wedding venue was going to be small so the most reach I needed was the 85 :) I decided to save a little bit of carry on space + weight instead and left mine at home in Aus.
