Another thing try top water poppers like for bass but use the small ones for trout in the rapids when the water temps get a little warmer and the fish get aggressive

You now what works very good for trout Garlic scent live nightclerwer from Walmart just Break the wrom in half and you will caught your limits of trout in less then 5 minutes. Minnows also work good you will caught your limit in less then an minute. Cron works good if they allow you to fish with it were you fish.chick the Regulations before fishing there.
