This video is the BEST video I could find regarding the internal hose! Do you have a link for how you show us the steps of replacing this hose? Thank you!

Great video, this was helpful. I have 2 Dysons, the one from 2011 was fixed for the 2nd time....the internal hose had to be replaced for the 2nd time. Next time, I will trash this Dyson as 12 years is plenty of use. I keep one Dyson 41 upstairs and the 2nd one downstairs. I paid $299 for the first one in 2012 from eBay and $199 for the 2nd one from Costco in 2018. Now we just need to change our matted carpet now....after 12 years.

Wow, you did well! Many vacuum/shampooer owners only get about 5 years. Thanks for watching

Thank you, the other video’s didn’t even mention the white dealie and the teeth thing. I was looking for black teeth but my model was kinda silver gray. Another tip I would suggest is to get piece of cardboard and draw the parts where you removed screws and push the screws in to cardboard to remind yourself where each goes.

Replaced internal hose, the handle stands up and locks like it should. It’s vacuuming great, but the hose no longer has any suction. I’ve checked for clogs, nothing is clogged. Any ideas? Is there a switch that’s flipped or????

Pam I'll upload a video that will cover that in a day or two. Stay tuned. Also consider becoming a member, you'll have access to personalized tutorials and videos

Sorry for the delayed response Linda. Which hose lower (Internal) or main hose?

See in the video photo, on the bottom of the motor housing the machine has two little bearings for helping the ball unit spin. Both my bearing are froze up making it harder to push the unit. Does anyone know if those can be replaced and how?

Let’s help James . I’ll look into it. If anyone came across this issue please share

@@monroevacs thank you my friend! I figured it out today. The bearing and tiny axle just snap in and out from the outside of the housing. When its apart you can push the one end out from the backside and then pull it from there. I was able to unfreeze the bearing so I don't have to replace it, but it was a bugger. I didn't look, but I'm sure a replacement bearing could be found online and then pressed on.

I ordered an internal hose part for my DC 65. , But the part doesn't look like my old part. Could it be the wrong part. The one end does not have the tab with a screw

Hi Tina are you able to return and exchange the item? if so, here is the part number for the dc65 internal hose DY-920682-01. You may find that its on back order at many shopping sites
