That seems an extra kind of way to use a dowel as an anchor, probably could have shoved a pencil in it for same effect. My issue is with putting the wood directly to the concrete will likely show signs of rot in the first 3 years. They sell rolls of polystyrene specifically for this.

That's not true. They would place the bolt into the wet concrete, and people still do that today. Plus, they had wedge and nylon anchors along with other ways. There were many techniques and options. I worked on many old buildings, and it varies. This technique is a hack or for the third world countries.

Контент с подобными очевидными "примудростями" Есть на любом языке (условно для любых стран) - и это не значит что это что то отсталое, пережитки прошлого, и какой то регресс. For a temporary fix, maybe. The wood dowel cracked the concrete, if you watched closely. The wood in the hole will eventually rot out and leave the screws loose. The untreated lumber against the concrete with no barrier will quicken the demise of this construction project. Why no j-bolts I'mbedded in the concrete when it was poured? If this is an afterthought then a more simple solution would be Tapcon screws, or a .22 powered nail gun. Wood against concrete with no barrier is a bad idea for numerous reasons. Moisture, mold, dry rot as the concrete pulls the moisture out of the wood. termites, rust and corrosion... A few years down the road this temporary fix will fail.

In Germany we always would use „expansion dowels“ - do you call it Like that? Made from plastic, different models for different purposes. They are cheap and work great!

Good point. But this is showing alternatives. I actually used this technique to attach a nail down threshold. Also use this when I don't want to show blue screw heads.

They have a 2 part epoxy filler that you fill the hole with and then screw the bolt right into it. Specifically made for concrete and metal bolt attachments.

Это и есть дюбель... деревянный. Вполне рабочий вариант решения задачи... Наиболее продвинутые специалисты для надежности еще и обмазывают клинышек клеем. Клей годится любой, но желательно не на водной основе.
