In this video I show you how to fix your Xerox 6180 6280 Printer if you have Transfer Unit error or replace your transfer unit, or just like me where you have paper jam after paper jam and can't figure out what's wrong. In my case the the film ripped and just wrapped itself around one roller which caused the fault. So replacing my transfer unit with a cheaper 6280 option worked out great for me, I did have a re-seat transfer unit error but after switching the new film to my old unit the error went away. BRILLIANT!!! My transfer belt just broke on my 6180, and I had a dead 6280. I just took the unit from the 6280 and got the reseat error. So inspired by your instructions, I moved the belt to the old base and voila ... my 6180 is alive again. THANKS ... you just saved me a lot of money.

I can confirm this works! I have a 6180 MFP. I was getting smudges or other odd black toner on my prints. I ordered the part for the 6280 and tried it. I received an error so I took the 4 screws out and put the film unit on my older base and all works great!

@@lethal0weapon7777 I appreciate your reply. My transfer unit is in bad shape. The sheeting is ripped and the rollers are sticky with gunk. I'm really hoping to find a complete transfer unit somewhere.
