Vankyo sells more newer models in USA and old outdated garbage models in Canada. Example V700 or V630W or VF630T or VF620T (Newer models) are sold only in USA and not in Canada. What a partiality service that is Vankyo ???? By this Canadian customers are forced to only buy outdated models. I didnot buy V630 for its very high fan noise. Many had complaints with V630 for its fan noise.

Also any chance your could check and see what distance you would need to have to get a 100 inch screen. In the manual you showed to stated 90 inch or 200 inch. I bought this and use a chromecast with it, however when I turn it off, the lamp stays on. After a minute the lamp turns off, but then after another minute or so the lamp turns back on again.The rest of the projector is off though (fan is not running). I have to basically unplug it to stop, which is annoying. Anyone know why this is happening?

The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

I've bought it and even though the image is great the sound of the fan is really loud. In this video looks like you won't hear it unless you put your ear beside the box, which is not true. It's much noisier than a PC. By the way the fan is on the other side.

@@frikoriko There isn't any gaming mode. It's impossible to play game with this projector (also the framerate is limited to 30fps). For the movie isn't a noticeable problem, but if you like a perfect audio/video sync you have to delay the sound of 150ms. On the russian site 4PDA a similar projector have the same issue (M19, probabily the Vankyo is only a rebrand), and the people hope in a new firmware update

the v630 is a good projector but the input lag is awful about 150ms were as the v630w has 75ms input lag. the v630 is brighter than the v630w. as for the brightest picture i think bomaker wins in the budget legal of led projectors

I ordered this projector last night because one I purchased at Walmart the day before was complete trash. I read a lot of great reviews about it on Amazon and you made an excellent review of it as well. The only thing you didn't mention was what the tray is for thats under the fan. It looks like it can be pulled out. Not sure if that's to clean it or what. Also, you mentioned a location in your video being the Grand Canyon. That place is actually called Horseshoe Bend and it's in Arizona. I've been there personally, that's why I noticed and it's amazing. Other than that, great job on the review. One thing people should also know is that if you purchase this projector through Amazon, it does have an option for a warranty, but you can also purchase it from vankyo's website directly and they are currently selling it with a coupon for $50 off. Their warranty is only for 90 days though, while Amazon's is a little longer. Just thought any potential buyers should know their options in regards to that.

I own the V620 and the V630, the V630 is like 5% brighter (you can't even tell the difference) but the V630 fan is 70% louder! Buy the V620, no question about it, you will absolutely LOVE IT💗 Hands down best projector I've ever owned.

Nope. The sound mode doomed it for me. I have the leisure 510 and performance v620, both vankyo, both couldn't be more different. Literally everything about the cheaper leisure 510 is better than the v620 and this v630 as everything is identical except for the digital keystone adjustment and connection port layout, down to the shitty audio settings as compared to the leisure 510 with dual speakers in Dolby surround that is loud and amazing! The v620 has a louder fan with a noticeable high-pitch ring to it like a jet engine. The only thing that's better is the 1080p resolution vs 720p for the leisure 510, but the throw distance is different so the v620 and v630 have smaller screen size. I'm keeping my leisure 510 and giving away the v620 and based on this review, NOT getting v630 since it's no different than v620 in any meaningful way other than brightness.

You can set the V630 in the corner of the room, vs. the V620 which needs to be directly parallel to the projected image.

Well i had nothing but hassle with my vankyo projecter has righy from receiving it it was faulty and even after changing colors and all that stuff still green i tried to contact vankyo many diff numbers all dead and many dif email addresses and no reply so i took mine to bits and threw it in the bin as there customer service is non exsistant u carnt get hold of them so ide stay away from there crap junk i baught a cheap 1 and yay its miles better than that vankyo v620 which cost ove £150 uk pounds.

Picture is great but the frame rate is poor. Check out the vivibright. Not quite as brilliant or bright, but 2 less laggy. Watching an marine wild life video, the lag outweighed the crisp picture compared to my vivibright f40, which was about 30 dollars cheaper.

What do you mean the frame rate is 'poor'? Does it not actually run at 30/60fps for video content? I'm still trying to figure out exactly what these units are supposed to be, they seem to be some sort of no name brand that has been licensed, and is currently being marketed and sold on Amazon by a few different 'Home Electronics Companies'. So I understand that the unit must be fairly low quality, however does it at least actually run at 1080p, and really use an LED light source that shouldn't need to be replaced for the life of the projector? I'm just looking for a replacement for my ancient BenQ W500, that I can leave on all day without having to worry about wasting bulb life... Will this unit run all day at 1080p without any bulb issues?

What picture size could you expect to get from 5 meters away from screen? Difficult to find any throw distance specs for these projectors.

Based on what I can calculate the projector has a throw ratio of roughly 1.32-1.34:1. I have a Vankyo 520 and get a 135" screen at 12 1/2ft away. Take the width of the screen size you want to have then divide by 12. Multiply the result by the throw ratio to get your distance. For example a 120" screen is about 8.7ft wide meaning 8.7ft * 1.32 gives you a distance of 11.4ft. 5 meters away would give you a screen size of 170". Roughly from floor to ceiling if you have 8ft ceilings.
