My mother passed away in July, right after I had my first son. I remember when I used to live at home and she would always play this song. We would go out for coffee or dinner and she would hum it. We all loved Sajaid Ali growing up, lately it’s been harder to listen to or watch anything Pakistani. Everything reminds me of her. We live in Northern Michigan, hopefully my son is able to get to know his Pakistani side and the memory of his Nani.
