I love the color blocking and I actually like most of the patterns in this release.

It's a good one. I'll be grabbing a few from this one and from the Know Me drop.

I love your pattern review videos! Even if I immediately know I would never make the pattern, I find myself listening because I love hearing what you have to say about it, lol. Thanks for this great content.

Nice selection. Thanks for sharing. I haven't sewn in awhile, trying to get back into it. Use to buy fabric from Hancock Fabrics, they shut down some years ago, now Walmart has stopped selling fabric, only fabric quarters. Thanks for sharing.

I used to love Hancock!!! Some Walmarts still sell fabric, I don't know why some do and others don't. I tend to shop online. There are several great online fabric shops.

I am impressed that McCalls appear to have used "regular" and "plus sized" models in their release this time. That is a real step forward. As for the collection itself, there's actually very little there that I like for me personally but I can see why other people might like the various designs. The main thing I don't care for is the use of so much colour blocking - if there's one thing I find unappealing it's colour blocking. However, I do realise that you can simply make the garment in a single colour and let the design lines speak for themselves.

I would agree that showing multiple models is a great thing. I love colorblocking, but I can see it being too much or unappealing for others. That's the great thing about sewing, as you stated, you can make it your own.

Hi Tiffany! Thanks so much for sharing this! I like more of a modest look, so these patterns are not so much for me this time. 😊
@TipStitched5 ай бұрын
Aww ok. Are you looking for any kind of pattern in particular?
@ZeldaSews5 ай бұрын
@TipStitched No, not really. Sometimes, there are patterns I really connect with, but not so much this time. But there's always the next season! Ha ha ha ha.
@TipStitched5 ай бұрын
@@ZeldaSews true. I actually like when a season is a miss for me 😂 I don't need anymore patterns.

I don't see much that's different from what I have already. 8505 is cute with short sleeves, but I foresee bra/bust issues with that one.
@TipStitched5 ай бұрын
Yeah I could see that with 8505

I have very narrow shoulders so I loved the 80s shoulder pads, but if you had wide shoulders you ran the risk of looking like a football player. I had a camisole with shoulder pads which balanced out my figure. I'm not finding many of these patterns exciting, maybe because I've seen most of this stuff before or because my life is very casual.
@TipStitched5 ай бұрын
I don't think I've ever seen a camisole with shoulder pads.
@theresaanndiaz31795 ай бұрын
They were like a muscle tee made out of very lightweight knit. Everything had shoulder pads and they weren't tiny. I remember taking the shoulder pads out of a blouse because the jacket I wore it with also had shoulder pads.
