A good tip I've learned from watching one of Hayk Manukyan's videos is enabling object mode on the brush tool so you can quickly draw overlapping strokes and easily edit them later. Makes it great for clean up animation

3:47 there's actually a button to enable velocity, have fluid brush selected and go to your tool bar, the velocity button is next to the pen pressure button (for me at least)

I really appreciat your videos. I studied Animation at Uni but graduated all the way back in 2008. I've only recently been back in an animation role and typically prefer frame by frame animation. I was terrified that I was outdated and everyone would be using puppets and rigged characters. I have learnt the basics of these anyway but my heart is in Frame by Frame.

I had no idea how to use Adobe Animate's brush tool, so I ended up, uhh… drawing all my line work in Clip Studio and then exporting the vector into Animate when I was starting out with making my own sprites for animating. I'm looking forward to not needing to have two programs open when I'm drawing things to animate! Somehow you end up making the exact tutorials I need, haha. TipTut for President :)

I've been using the fluid brush tool for over a week and didn't noticed the pressure feature 😆 thanks, Matt! If you do another advice video, I wouldn't mind a snippet in there about left and right-handed drawing practices. I find myself frustrated to no end with a rotated tablet because it's natural for me as a lefty and then the strokes don't match what's happening on the screen.
@TipTut2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mel! I'm a lefty too and it takes some adjustment to learn to draw without turning the tablet!

Hey, I am completely new with adobe animate. My questions are - I would like to make animation in old-style like "Looney Tunes" or like old Disney animations with Micky, Donald etc. Can I make anything like that in adobe animate? Do I need to know how to draw or is there some generator which could help me create characters and background? Or there is nothing like that and I have to make everything from scratch. The last question is - how to start with adobe animate, how to start learning, and what how this learning process should look like?

When I enter any shape . The other shapes remain the same - How do I get this setting back? . thank you very much

You didn't mention the smoothing function (that thing next to straighten in the properties panel) An absolute must to fix wobbly strokes.
@TipTut2 жыл бұрын
I thought I mentioned it worked the same as the classic brush but I could be wrong.
@MASJYT2 жыл бұрын
@@TipTut oh no I think you did, what I mean is when you already drew something with the brush, perhaps the line is a little wobbly, you select the wobbly part with the lasso tool and press the smoothing button a couple times. I've seen animators use this trick to smooth curves. It was common back in the flash days in newgrounds but not many tutorials mention it nowadays.
@TipTut2 жыл бұрын
