Tire pressure affects ground clearance and can cause pinch flats if set too low, but did you also know that your tire is a critical part of your suspension?
In the sand, we recommend running 12-16psi. In dirt, we recommend 12-16psi for play and 18-28psi for race.
Shock Therapy is a world-class suspension tuning and component company based in Phoenix, Arizona. We make original products right here in the USA and ship worldwide to all customers. Whether you are a casual owner or a racing enthusiast, Shock Therapy makes sure to place you FIRST. Great video, thanks for 411! Everyone always think I'm crazy for running 22psi on sand. Know I have facts to back it up.

32” Tires with head locks. I run 8 Psi rear and 6 psi front. I have tried all different pressures and found this to be the best ride for my Honda Talon 1000X/4 Fox Live Valve

LOL...LOL, This vid wasn't about tire PSI at all, this was a camera man shoot out. Funny as hell! In all fairness, I think Chase had much better frame but he either had the better camera or better use of filters. But good job Justin, you got Chases' attention, did you hear the poor boy, he was breathing like a coon hound, lol...personally, I prefer the single shot, particularly when there's such a contrast in cameras. Thanks for the PSI info.

I’ve tried explaining this to people in the past and I always get crazy looks. Lots of guys I dune with run their tires at 6 pounds while I leave mine around 10-12. I get running your quad at 6-8 psi, but these cars are too heavy to run such low pressure at speed. Plenty of bite at 12 psi and I don’t have to worry about slamming the ass end of my car into the ground.

I have found that higher pressures for racing/high speed cornering certainly gives tighter control and better feedback. 22lbs was ideal on my Can Am Maverick x3 Turbo rr with smartshox on fairly solid, dry ground. I'm not concerned with the softer ride, I prefer the handling and response, especially dropping into a tight turn at 60 mph and powering through it. Thanks for the info. Stay safe out there.

What are you thoughts on having different tire pressures front vs. back? Particularly when they are the same size tire all the way around.

Nicely done! How many times have you watched you tube videos of people showing how they think it should be, who have no idea what they are doing. Your information on the things I am knowledgeable on are legit. The items I am not so sure about? I listen to you and learn because I have learned that your logic is sound! BTW, the cinematography is becoming more interesting to me in a good way. Thanks 😊

Bought my RZR with different psi on the wheels straight from the dealer. From 16psi down to 13psi so I aired them up to 20psi and been going trail riding with it. A little stiff but it's still breaking in. I'm thinking about doing 18psi since I do street driving as well.

well as you can see in my profile pic I have a 2015 1000cc dessert edition, I run 18psi in the tires, they aren't paddle tires I wouldn't call them aggressive, not knobbies neither, go through lots of river sand, with some trail ground, never know what obstacles so I get it, but then again I am once bitten twice shy, when I had a 2009 efi tires fully inflated, stopped on top of a sand hill for a picture, then put it in revers and it spun down to the axle like a buzz saw, my 4wd switch was broke and I was stranded, so 15 to 18 psi is where I always try to keep it, even when I am going 60+ through tons of sand, so not sure how good or bad I'm doing but based on this video I'm thinking I'm about right? p.s. only time I switch to 4wd is if things are looking extra iffy, goes through way to much gas especially at that speed
