Actually a few years ago there was a huge blizzard in mid-late October in the northeastern US and it was just so out of nowhere and there was tons of snow and schools were closed for over a week because so many places lost power and they actually cancelled Halloween (yep, it sounds like something out of a kids movie but they told people they shouldn't trick-or-treat).
