I'm a few months late to the party, but I'm so glad you recognize how bad it was for Penelope to write about Colin. Too many people were up in arms over his comment the previous season (understandable), but then turn around and defend her for doing the same thing to him, and it drives me crazy

I support Pen but I got to also hold her accountable for when she takes it too far. Also, I haven't gotten around to watching part 2 just yet, but trust me when I say I will try my hardest to make sure I watch and have it posted before the holidays :)

I'm loving Polin so much! Colin and Pen have so much chemistry! I mean, good for her to telling on Marina ( she's not her cousin, she was the daughter of a friend of her father), Marina was basically deceiving him. And if he had really wanted, he would have forgiven Marina and stayed with her.

FYI, Marina was a distant Featherington cousin who's father was owed money. Marina's pregnancy needed to be exposed to be saved from Portia's abusive antics and blackmail. She did what she did to Colin under duress after 3 months of abuse.

@@abcbandb It doesn't justify her deceiving an honest and good man like Colin, using him and manipulating him, specially a young and naive guy Her mistakes are not someone else's responsabilities. Own it and not feel entitled to making others part of your conequences. I have zero sympathy for her behavior.

@@fenniahtvxq While you are entitled to your opinion, most courts of the time [and today] would disagree with you. The fault lies with her adult guardian for failing to contact the alleged father and then coercing the teenage girl's deception through abuse and blackmail. Marina was no angel, but still resisted Portia's psychological manipulation and lies for a whole month before giving in after being threatened with abandonment.

@@abcbandb And still she decided to go ahead and abuse the trust, use and ruin someone else's life with lies, someone who was nothing but kind to her and quite a young boy himself. We wont agree here, and it's fine, we don't have to. And since this is going in circles, that's my last reply.

I don’t think Colin loved marina I do think he was infatuated with her and thought she was beautiful but I truly don’t think he loved her which was proved to me when he didn’t care that she didn’t love him and she was in love with someone else. Colin has a huge hero complex and he saw marina as someone to save and that played into his ego

Agreed, except for one thing. Colin's hero complex isn't because of a big ego, but actually the opposite. He has very low self-worth, so he feels like he has to do something (like saving someone) to have worth, and to earn/deserve love
