বাংলাদেশ। ১ লাখ ৪৭ হাজার ৫৭০ বর্গ কিলোমিটারের ছোট্ট একটি দেশ। মূলত এই দেশ নিম্নভূমি। নদীমাতৃক এই দেশে ছোট-বড় মিলিয়ে নদ-নদীর সংখ্যা প্রায় সাতশ। যার দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ২৪ হাজার ১৪০ কিলোমিটার। এই নদীগুলোর মধ্যে ৫৪টি বাংলাদেশ ও ভারতের মধ্য দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হয়েছে। আন্তঃসীমান্ত এই নদীগুলোর একটি তিস্তা।
এই নদী নিয়ে বাঙালির বঞ্চনার ইতিহাস। কিন্তু এবার সেই অবস্থার পরিবর্তন হবে। ভারতের গাজলডোবা এবং অন্যান্য ব্যারাজ নির্মাণের ফলে বাংলাদেশ কতটা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হচ্ছে? তিস্তা নদী ঘিরে বাংলাদেশের মহাপরিকল্পনায় কী কী থাকছে? আর কেনইবা স্পর্শকাতর এই প্রকল্প? এসব তথ্য নিয়ে সাজানো হলো এবারের প্রতিবেদন।
