Chris Tarrant said Frank just used to turn up even when not booked to be there. My mum worked in a Tesco in Northampton that was the biggest in the country at the time and he came to open it. He was only supposed to be there an hour or so. He spent the whole day there, laughing, telling jokes and "helping" the shelf stackers. She said he was a lovely guy and really funny.

Saw him live and he was very funny. A tortoise got mugged by four snails, the police arrived to take a statement but he couldn't remember because it all happened so fast. A bloke threatened me with a starting pistol, the police are treating it as a race related incident
