The bit where the ceiling collapses and mannings reaction is priceless. No health and safety in those days...thank god.

If that was real he would of been injured and the show would of had to stop besides the white stuff that fell looked fake

As kids, we all knew he was an adult's comic (Wheeltappers & Shunters) but it actually all added to the fun & the realisation the Tiswas show was perhaps not only just for kids..which was great for us. & Bernard was always a great sport, joining in with the other comics on the show.

Previously he was on the "clean" show called The Comedians. And was a guest on things like Celebrity Squares. I totally disagree that he was a great sport, etc. etc. Because even as a youth, I knew about his real so-called "humour" which was rarely televised uncut.

I'm not defending Bernard manning but the man was hilarious. He took the piss out of everyone.. He was always up for a laugh and people used to laugh at his racist jokes but it didn't mean you was racist for laughing, but his act wasn't about race as if you watch him he was funny and told jokes about loads of subjects and race was a very small part of his act! Check out the snuff joke!

you see him on OTT having a goat an oriental youth, pure undiluted racism, Shame because he could be immensely funny without it.
